Hi Gents!

Last week: 177
This week: 179
Total weight lost: 90
Body Fat 16%
Well, I am officially alarmed now as I am up 4 lbs from my all time low weight of 175! This is a 3 week trend that I know I have to correct... I know why and have to get back to my routine... :-(
Made the gym twice this week, hate to see what would have happened if I had skipped those 2 days. Ugh! My body fat had been consistent at 14% till today, now up 2%. Ugly, ugly week for sure!
I updated the FAQ last week, please take a peek. Lots of solid info provided by Mike Rogers who is a veteran of the boards. I continue to add nuggets from here as I find them, if you have any of your own please share!
Last weeks weigh in had 104 views to date but only 8 posts... Even if half of them were return visits that means over 40 people are lurking but not posting... Come on out of the shadows guys, our board is only as successful as we make it! If you commit to checking in weekly here, whether the news is positive or negative, I guarantee it will help you reach your goals! Promise.
Till next week!
Brian

My stats this week:
High weight: 392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
Last week: 217.0 lbs / 19.7% body fat / 165.8 lbs muscle mass
This week: 216.2 lbs / 19.3% body fat / 166.0 lbs muscle mass
Traveling on business this past week to Oklahoma City, I was still able to make it to a gym 4 days. Eating out 3 meals a day has it’s challenges trying to make smart choices but I was mostly successful. Had an additional workout yesterday moving my son back home from college. His apartment was on the second floor with no elevator. Worked my hamstrings and calves pretty hard on the stairs where my biking hasn’t.
We are in the season where the workplace offers a lot of temptation with goodies that are not so good choices. Set your boundaries and don't beat yourself up when you do partake. Just make sure that you are honest with yourself and redouble your efforts to do better tomorrow. As we all know this journey is 90% of a mind game - motivating ourselves to make good food choices and showing up for exercise.
Gentlemen, be safe!
-Mike

Was up over 171 mid week but two day trip to San Antonio brought me back down. Having been to the Alamo my Texas "natralization" process is complete. Got burned out on TexMex though. Only do so much of any one type of food. Fiancee' bootlegged some of the cheese dip home. Back to hanging lights on the fence.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Uuughh..Up another 2 this week to 202. I have been either 5 pounds above or below 200 with 200 being the average, but honestly am not HAPPY when over 200 as I want that to be my high point.
Eating has been poor. Like others have said with the holiday season, alot of temptations. I still log my food and try to eat mindfully, but have been GRAZING really bad lately. Especially at nite after dinner. I feel like I am famished and just want to eat everything in site. Will start to do better starting TODAY!!!
Exercise is good. I was able to get in 3 days or exercise/running. I really enjoy working out, but often it seems IMPOSSIBLE to find the time with work, 3 kids, and the Holidays fast approaching. Still, it is important for my health and well being so I want to maintain at least a minimum of 3 days working out per week.
From the posts, looks like we are are all getting into the Holiday Season!! Here is hoping we can all get through it without too many eating/food issues!
Yours in WLS,
Bill Mac

Holding steady this week- more or less. I got a nice little run in today as the weather was cooperating. Running around like a raped ape at work . I'm looking at used treadmills to keep grinding out the exercise in the winter months. The family membership at the gym is expiring this month and I can't justify the membership dues when I am the only one going and even I'm sporadic with the daily schedule.
I got hit on at a Christmas party last nite, kinda surprising as it was someone I've known casually for a while and she was just drunk enough to pull the trigger. The WLS was the catalyst for the initial conversation. As flattering as it was, I don't think the wife -or her husband-would have appreciated me not shutting her down. LOL
The usual chores and stuff today, no good football 'till tomorrow nite. Go Pats!!

No harm working on your game... Just keep your ass off the field! LOL!

Finally leveled off this week and pretty happy about that. I am so paranoid about putting the weight back on I weight my self way too often. I am still nursing the broken ribs so I don't get much exercise. I need to start building muscle and get a knife and cut off this loose skin. .
Still so happy with the decision that changed my life so much. Thanks again guys, you have been so much support with out all the drama on the other forums.
Newbies, this is the best way to loose your weight and this is the best support there is.

Happy Sunday everyone,
It's been a couple of weeks since my last post. I'm like a lot of you guys facing the holiday pit falls. Though I've lost weight I feel some old habits sneaking back in. Thanks to everyone for the support you offer through the form. Have a good week.
CJ
Edited to correct spelling.
I am one of those lurkers, I like to read what is going on, but not much changing here on my end so I don't contribute as much. BUT then I got thinking about my pre-surgery self and how much I appreciated seeing the success stories on here and so I will make an effort to stay engaged!!
355 8/1/11 Beginning of the program
321 9/21/11 Surgery Day (RNY)
Currently: 202ish this morning...sigh Running from low of 195 to 200-201ish most days. Normally I see 197/198 on the scale but like the others mentioned, lots of temptations!!
So this morning I did a 30g protein shake for breakfast... (and two cookies, once I got to work...sigh) and going to try and be good here for next couple of weeks before the end of the year.
Did not exercise at all last week at the gym, but more active on the weekends, built a set for my church, carrying and moving things for our Xmas party, etc.
I hope the newbies read this and DON'T get discouraged... when we talk about being bad.. and temptations.. just understand we are super sensitive to all of this and you DO have tools to help!! The board is a tool and it is a LOT easier to be good / reestablish control at this size than it ever was at 355 pounds!!
