Hey Mark, congrat on setting your surgery date; it will be here in no time. As for your goals, that is awesome to be thinking that far ahead. I will be one year post-op on Dec9th and I am signed up to run my 2nd 1/2 marathon that day. In one years time, I have ran 2-5k's, 1-10k, and 1-1/2 marathon. I also run 30 miles a week spread over 4 days, 3- 6 mile runs and 1-12 mile run. It's AMAZING what WLS has done for my life. Good luck, take it slow in the beginning, but it is hard to contain yourself when the weight starts falling off. Who knows, maybe we'll be at the same run someday. Keep us posted on your surgery.

Mark, work hard and train harder!!!  I used the Couch to 5k program and ran 2 of them this summer!!  (That counts as 10k right!!?)

You will be surprised at all the things you start thinking about doing...for example the Groupon deal that just came through for indoor skydiving......HMMMM...

Buckle in and hold on, this is gonna be a WILD ride my friend!
