Sunday Morning Weigh In Fall is Fantastic Edition
Morning gents!
My Stats:
High weight: 296
Weight at initial consult 1-19-2012: 269
Weight at surgery 4-23-12: 230
Last week: 174
This week: 175
Total weight lost: 94
I hope that wherever you are in the world that you are enjoying outdoor activities and fantastic weather like we are having here in Massachusetts. I know it is likely still quite warm down in Texas and maybe there is snow up by our Canadian friends, but we are in the zone here for it being nice outdoors.
Up a pound this week, no real reason why but maintaining below goal so I am happy. Thanks to all who contributed to last weeks "homework assignment"... Hopefully the board continues to pick up as winter approaches. Maybe we can coax a few lurkers to post once in awhile?
See you next week!
Brian

Had a little bit of rain last night but not enough to close the cracks in the ground. It is cooler this morning than it has been in some time. Will make for a nice walk before the Cowboys play this afternoon.

4.6 LBS LOST THIS WEEK
170.2 Lbs Lost since surgery
219.2 Total Weight Lost
4.6 Lbs lost this week! Back on the way down!!! I think I had a perfect storm going there that I finally got through. First, I think I was in the midst of a mini stall. Then I injured my knee, taking me out of my cardio routine for over a month now. Finally, I am so happy where I am, I don't really care as much about my "goal" weight as I once did, so I got a little too lax and loose with the diet.
However, I am back on the wagon and losing again. I got my diet back on track. I did some bike riding this week. Things are moving in the right direction again. 9.8 lbs to go!
Have a great week!

Morning guys,
Beautiful here in the Utah with an expected high of 80 today. Going for a long drive up in the mountains this afternoon to enjoy the changing colors.
I am down 2 lbs this week as I inch ever closer to what was my goal weight. My family has wondered if I now having an eating disorder. Yep, I love to eat and that's what got me into this problem... not again.
Have a great week and thanks for your support.

Top of the mornin' !
Maintaining within my parameters again this week- did not make it to the gym, but I pushed the envelope Thu. and ran for 11.5 miles- took 2 hours 15 minutes. Phew!! Talk about an ass-kicking! I had to lay low for a few days and I just got back from a five miler this morning. I am running a half marathon (13.1) miles on Sept. 30th. and I was curious what it was going to feel like when I finish. About what I expected. Now I need to get the lawn mowed before 1:00 kickoff.
I am getting ready to load my bullets for plastic surgery. I made an appt. out of sheer curiosity about how much this **** is actually going to cost. I had a melanoma removed from my right cheek (face, you perverts!) about 4 years ago, and was pretty happy with the end results. It was what he called a pinwheel- spun it all up without a graft and put it together with about 50 stiches.
My dermatologist recommended him and all of the chicks in his office have nice racks. 'Nuff said... I'm thinking if the loose- goose neck can go for under 2 grand, I will pull the trigger on that pretty soon. I know it sounds vain but between the lack of hair on my dome and what's left is white, ( I'm not doing hair club or Just for Men, by the way) it think it's making me look way beyond my 52 years. The other stuff can wait, but I still wanna know how much!
Enough rambling for now, I have a few new threads in mind and will post when appropriate- Good luck to the rest of you-later!!

4.5 You got me! I guess at this point I don't know where I am... Done losing, lose more? I am continuing the post-op routine and am going to see where I end up.

Good Evening Gents,
The Wrap Sheet:
346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
197: Last Weigh In 9/2/12
???: This Week 9/16/12 -->
150: Total Weight Loss
No weight this week as our house scale died, and have not had a chance to pick a new one up as of yet.
As usual, enjoy the posts by everyone. I can always find insight and inspiration from your experiences in WLS.
Over last week I have started to reflect on my journey and was a little saddened. I have to be honest to myself and have really got off the mark in terms of eating. For some time I have been struggling with food AGAIN!! I have been trying to mindfully eat every day. However, often I have reverted to old habits of snacking, grazing, and just making POOR choices in terms of food. It is not all day every day, but it has been happening more frequently. Still, I went to a local support group and most of the people there were pre op. It brought me back to where it all began for me and since then have been making better choices. I have to remember the surgery and pouch are a TOOL, but if I choose not to use it, then weight gain is inevitable. So, I am focusing on just TODAY and I did well and feel so much better about myself.
All that being said, Exercise was good. I now run 3-4 miles at least 3-4 times a week. I also ran my 5th 5K race and finished in a decent time of 27:01. Also, plan on running a 10K at the end of October..
Thanks for letting me share and stay accountable to this journey!
Hope all of you have a nice week...
Yours in WLS,
Bill
