C'mon Charlie... You have come this far and to be frank I think you have a lot more drive and determination in you than that... 14 lbs from goal is not the time to get complacent. That works out to about 6% of your total loss... You got 6% more in you or do we need to take you out back of the shed?

Good afternoon guys,

Mark, your concerns are all valid. But it will be good to have to deal with them.

I am down 2 lbs this week and inching closer to my goal. At this point, I'm sure I will continue to loose more weight and lower my goal weight since the fat guy in the mirror still has bulges that need to turn into flapping skin.

It has been a great ride so far, and thank you all for the support of this group.

Hi Everyone,

It's been two weeks since my last post. I've lost 8.2 lbs. since then. I've ramped up my walking to six days a week and about two and one half miles each day. I'm feeling better every day. I went out and bought some new clothes in XL this week. I was at 4XL prior to the surgery and the clothes were just hanging off me. I'm amazed because I haven't worn an XL in 30 years, since I was in my 20's. There are so many pluses to this adventure but I think for me is the fact I have so much more energy. I used to dread chores around the house and now it's so much easier.

Have a great week everyone ,,, CJ

OK, so better late that never, huh? I wish I had some great reason for being a day late, but no such luck. Just kinda hiding out, unhappy really that over the last few weeks I've gained a few pounds even though I lost a pound this week. I'm working to convince myself that this is a marathon and not a sprint and that I am far ahead of the game. But, that can be hard for someone who has tried and failed at this game before. I'm still way thinner than I've ever been since high school (and, gents, that was a few years ago). Ill admit I am afraid of regain, so why is it easy to slip?

I am eating better than I ever have and of course that means less, but and, here is something we need to take to the bank, it looks like it is possible to let a few bad habits and extra calories get the best of us. And, for me at least, it looks like it will be daily easy to regain even on a pretty limited diet.

Well, enough of that nonsense. It's back to the gym tomorrow. I have that swimsuit photoshoot to prepare for.

Have a good week guys.

Great posts this week.  Sorry I had a crazy weekend with softball, golf, night out with friends, executive board meeting and not much rest...

Anyway,  my Wildcats are now 3-0.  Two amazing bottom of the last inning, come from behind wins (one on Saturday (2-1) and one on Sunday (3-2)).  I'm so proud of the girls and now they understand why I keep telling them to never give up (sound familiar guys?  ).  The games were both intense and a blast.  I practice certain common drills over and over again and these girls have got them down and are now able to react and perform without me saying a thing.  Nice to see that they actually pay attention and execute.  Well all of them accept my two daughters who are competing with each other to see who can be the biggest pain in the you know what during the game.  Deep Breaths Coach Mike!! If they weren't so good, I'd bench 'em!!

My eating, vitamins and water has all been fine.  I have signed up for another 5K on October 28th (my 12th wedding anniversary) and am now training by doing the C210K program on my android phone.  So far so good.  I hadn't run since around May so was a bit apprehensive and nervous but all in all I did well.  I trained M-W-F last week and today where I ran 2.75 miles.  My goal is to be able to run the 10K distance by 10/28 which I think is do-able.  So far so good although I am pooped!!

Anyway, hope everyone has a great week.

Mike
