I want to add that for me the CPAP was an ABSOLUTE necessity while I was in the hospital.  I was not able to sleep at all with out it, epically in a slightly elevated position while in the bed.  When I got home I used it for a day or two and packed it away.

I use my CPAP every day as I have severe Sleep Apnea. I will for sure bring it with me to the hospital... assuming I am approved! Thank you for your input.

Thank you Dan...

I definitely read and take in everyone's comments. I am from Ontario, so I read a fair bit in that forum as well.

My wife works for an ear, nose, and throat doctor, and they had a company come in to demo their home sleep study machine, and of course my wife volunteered me to try it since I am a horrible snorer. Based on the those results, her boss had me come in right away, and I ended up doing another sleep study at the sleep center at my local hospital. They determined that I stop breathing roughly 95 times an hour, and that I am getting very little sleep. They also determined that CPAP was not working for me, and instead put me on a BiPAP machine. While I have been finally getting some actual sleep, I can't wait for the time when I don't need this damn machine. While I know my wife just wants me alive, there is nothing more unattactive then looking over to find darth vader sleeping next to you. It sure doesn't help with the self esteem. I'm on my way, and have a surgery date in December, so I'm looking forward to turning that corner.
