 Morning gents!

 My Stats:

High weight: 296
Weight at initial consult 1-19-2012: 269
Weight at surgery 4-23-12: 230
Last week: 177
This week: 175
Total weight lost: 94

Happy US Labor Day to you all. Hopefully wherever you are in the world you are enjoying nice weather and grilled meats this weekend! After an especially difficult week at work I am chipping away at some houshold projects and laying around doing little. No loss this week but I am used to the stalls now and again... I am 5 lbs below my surgeons goal and anticipate hovering around the 160-170 zone. I had mentioned that my wife was getting really naggy about how skinny I'd been getting, she went a week ago Tuesday to my 3 month checkup and the surgeon shut her down hard... She and the NUT said 160 would be no problem for me to meet and that it would be a good weight for me, would not want to see me much lighter though. Here is the before and after I planned on posting last week:

Those are 34 jeans, I have not been that small since 4th grade...  I love this trip I am on!

Carry on and have a great week you losers!

Brian

Nice FART on the 34 jeans.  I wear a 36 in the dungrees but uniform pants are 34.  Much better, and easier to find, than 50's or 52's were.  Less expensive too.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Morning gents-

Brian - DAMN!!  That's how it's done! DO NOT buy too many of those 34 jeans- they will likely be falling off at 160+. I fit comfortably into 32 now and I'm at 168.' Course I've got no ass. Never did.

I'm enjoying a 3 day weekend filled with yardwork, Dad taxi, company, and lobster, swordfish and shrimp fest on my grill. I got a 4 mile beach walk and a 7 mile run in so far. One kid is at a water park, one is working, wife is at a baby shower and I am thinking a ride to the outer beach at Race Point in Provincetown might be in order. Then maybe some sushi in town later. Yeah... My younger brother crashed on the couch last night and will likely accompany me. After I mow the north forty.  Six of my daughter's teenage girlfriends tomorrow night for an end of summer sleepover, I get to shop and cook- as usual. But they're good kids and at least I have a little control over their activities.

That's about it for this week. I'll be kicking in the gym activities next week

Good luck! Always lurking-

Same way around the lakes here.  Now that the "season" is over all the "lakers" will carry their asses back to Dallas but a few die hards will come down for a weekend here and there before it gets too wet or cold.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

First things first, WOW-Brian you look MMMAAAHHHVVVLLLOOUUS! Dude your transformation is nothing short of miraculous. Happy for all your success on this journey, but I know how hard you have worked at it so it is well deserved.

I have not posted in last few weeks as I was on family vacation to FL. Went to Disney, Universal and Discovery Cove over 9 days. Unreal trip in many ways. A lot of Farts: No seat belt extension on plane; Able to ride ALL OF THE RIDES w/ no worry about not fitting in seat; Not wanting to eat at all of the All you can eat buffets(Of which it seemed there were TONS of in Orlando); and not only keeping up w/ the family but actually happy to do it!!

Also, had 18 month follow up w/ my surgeon. She was very happy w/ my progress and most important said I have done extemely well post op and to keep up the great work. I felt like I had been doing well, but to hear it from a professional in the field made it even better.

Over last couple weeks been eating pretty well. A lot more fruits, veggies and most important protein. Still have to be careful not to eat due to being upset; Grazing; Sweets/Salty foods w/ NO nutritional value. It is never easy, but got to keep my focus on a DAILY BASIS!!

Exercise was good. I now run 3-4 miles at least 3-4 times a week. I am also planning on registering for my 5th 5K race in the next couple weeks.

I have to pinch myself some times at how good I feel physically and health wise and know how hard I have had to work to get to where I am. I will do whatever I have to in order to ensure I keep moving forward on a positive note in this Weight Loss Journey....

Hope all of you have a nice week...

Yours in WLS,
Bill

Glad you had an amazing vacation Bill.  Those FARTs make it all worthwhile!  Keep up the good work.

Brian - WAY TO GO!

Nothing much to report this week.  Went to the Dr for my knee after the passing out episode.  Still having problems with knee pain which has me out of the gym.  She told me to wear a brace and take anti-inflamatory twice a day for a week and see if that helps.  If not, off for the MRI.  ($2000 out of pocket on my insurance!)

Other than that, had my 1 year follow up on Friday.  Dr was very happy with my progress.  Said I was "PERFECT" and that if I wanted to keep losing, go ahead, but that I looked healthy.  My labs were perfect.

Now I am off to shop for some 36 pants.  Everyone has started telling me my 38's are getting too big so I'll try on some 36's to see how they feel.

See ya next week!

It sounds like everyone has had an excellent week. Great job guys. I had a follow up with the hematologist last week. My ferritin went up dramatically since April, which puts me finally in the low end of normal. Not good enough, but the level doubled in 4 months, so it's stay the course. Stay calm. And take iron, mucho iron. I will not need to see her again unless my PCP shows my iron dropping again.

Beyond that, I'm looking forward to getting closer to normal as my partner returns to work after the run in with cardiac intensive care and the heart stent...that sounds so much more pleasant than "heart attack," doesn't it? Normal and boring is good.

Enjoy the holiday and have a great week, guys.
