Who or what is a "deactivated member"?

Had an e-mail from OH this morning from a "deactivated member", thats what it says under where the picture would be.  He or they were responding to a post I did on the 8/7/12 that showed what my hospital bill was.  The last line asked me if I was interested in weight loss to visit:  Weight Loss Camp & Apples & Pears Boot Camp.  Does anyone know about this site or has anyone else gotten a response like this?  I have never received a response like this before.

Sounds like someone fishing or "phishing" to gather information from you.  I would disregard it.  If they are a deactivated member they have dropped OH and do not want further communications from them.  Also, OH may have dropped them for advertising on their website without compensation...

I did an inquiry with OH and it says they will respond between 24 - 48 hrs.  I chucked it just to be safe.

There was a recent post about this on the RNY board. Apparently there is a lot of this going on right now. The OH Admin said to click the button to report and delete the post. They will deactivate the member. It sounds like that is what happened to this person. I assume the system stops them from sending new messages, but doesn't delete what has already been sent.

 Yes, spammer. I have gotten many PMs from adult dating sites and Nigerian Princes in my messages. If you look at your post the last message from yesterday was from the same deactivated member as well. Edit: looks like OH got rid of the post to your thread, it had text very similar to the email you got.

Brian, I don't think this is like those adult dating services or the get rich quick scams.  This one responded directly to what I and you guys had posted.  Obviously he wanted me to go to the website he listed, for what I don't know.  We'll see what OH comes up with.

I received an e-mail from the Obesity Help support staff this morning and the only thing they wanted was a copy of the e-mail I received.  I just sent them a copy and I will keep all here posted on what they tell me.
