I didn't read the whole Weigh-In column yesterday or I would have responded to your post sooner. I'm sorry to see you partner had a heart attack Ken. We are lucky to live in this time period were the medical profession is able to treat us for such serious illnesses. 50 or 100 years ago a heart attack would normally have been fatel. I know about the stents as I have had 5 implanted during 3 procedures. I have been on a drug called Crestor that really helps keep the blood clean. That an asprin .
The only thing you need to do for him is put him on your diet and exercise program and he will be "fit as a fiddle" in no time.
Hope he is doing better.

Jim,
Thanks for the kind words. I think the tough part is going to be to get him to "live" again, he's depressed about what he can no longer eat and what he thinks he'll be no longer able to do. I guess that gets better, but it's going to be hard for him.

2.6 down this week. Made some very poor choices this week. Can't explain the weight loss at all. After the "passing out" episode last week, my knee has been hurting and weak so I haven't been to the gym at all. Also, my new weakness is frozen yogurt. We ended up at Berrylicious (self serve frozen yogurt bar) twice this week. Figured that alone would give me an uptick on the scale...
Heres to another week of being back on track. Knee has still been a little iffy, but I think I am going to get back to the gym tomorrow with swimming some laps to see how it holds up doing that and then play it by ear from there. I have to do something. I am only 10.8 lbs away from my personal goal...
Have a great week!

Charlie,
I am a frozen yogurt fan as well. I try to stay with the no sugar added varieties, add a little fruit and some nuts for additional protein and actually make it a lunch at least once a week. I figure as long as I'm eating NSA, it's no worse than having regular yogurt, which I wouldn't think twice about doing. Jus****ch the add-ins and the quantity.
