I am happy to report that I am within my normal weight parameters this weekend. Which is a friggin' miracle if you ever saw the amount of food amassed and consumed in my house this weekend- oh yeah, and booze, too- and cigars. That pretty much describes my family reunion this weekend. I have trained myself well over the last year, however, and the instinctive cravings for things like the carrot cake (which is sitting right next to me as I type) to the smores, and the skittles and M&M's in random bowls located all over the house have been reduced to a mere pinch of curiosity. The protein first meal theory has prevailed and involuntary restriction has served me well.

I did get three runs in this week for a total of 16 miles, the last one of which was early this morning. And a nice walk on the beach at sunset last night.

The remaining group of family members have migrated toward the local fish and chips joint located down the street and I just didn't have it in me to indulge. Losing this amount of weight really puts you in the spotlight when a sizeable group of people who know you but haven't seen you in a while get togrther in your house for the weekend. It's encouraging and exhausting at the same time.

Got a nice big insulation job to start tomorrow in Chatham, the house has been under construction for over 2 years now, it's a whopper. We'll be in there for 3 weeks or so. They found an indian burial ground in the front yard while excavating utilities in the front driveway area a year or so ago. Talk about bringing a construction site to a screeching halt!

Well, that's it for right now, always lurking as usual- good luck this week!

Last week was my lowest (201.x) mostly was at 203 and change all week long, 202 yesterday and this morning!!

[355 highest known weight on 8/1/11 start of program, 321 RNY Surgery day 9/21/11]

Slacked off on exercise last 2 weeks, only 1-2 workouts in a given week.  Hit the gym this morning at 6am for a 37 minute run on the treadmill (5k)  SOAKED my tshirt and my durn nips are killing me, gonna have to start using compression undershirts or something...

Ordered and got in a bunch of size 34 pants / shorts over the last week or so.  Depending on the cut, they are TIGHT when I put em on but wearable.  Would like to lose just a bit more to make em truly comfy.

What is interesting is I start probing around my waist last night with the above in mind and kept encountering hard muscle just below the surface!!???  WOAH!!  There is still enough there to tighten up, but I really don't know that I will ever get down to a 32" waist!!  (I am actually happy about this....)

I know I could stand to lose another 20-25lbs (175-180ish) based on my lean weight of approx 150 + 15% fat level vs my current 26% or so.

SOME of that is excess skin tho...and I am pleasantly surprised at how well that is even tightening up.  My "love handles" are really not all that big.  Was out on the lake with another couple this weekend and Carl is 175ish and his love handles were actually a bit more than mine!  (He is 5'7" vs my 5'9")

There is a FART somewhere in the above, mostly this is just my therapy to discuss all this here with guys *****ally do understand just how freakin neat this feels!!  I can actually FEEL my oblique muscles moving around now and would be really neat if I could feel my 6 pack someday!

Sam...Life is Good...Nerd!!  (Man I need to get one of those tshirts!)

Hi All,

First off sorry for being MIA and thanks Don for kicking off the Sunday Morning Weigh In.  My "new" active lifestyle is keeping me away from the computer on Sunday mornings more often than not.  Who'd have thunk it?

Anyway, I don't plan on leaving the board but am looking for someone else to kick off the Sunday morning weigh in as it has become quite obvious that I am not able to get to it on a timely manner any longer.  If you are interested on taking the reigns please PM me and I'll make an announcement on the board.

Thanks,
Mike
