Sunday Morning Weigh In
This Week's Stats (lbs):
506.5: All time high 9/9/9 (WW start) - BMI = 63.3
492.4: Tufts Medical Center Program Start 9/20/10
462.5: Lap RNY Surgery day 2/7/11
290.2: Last Week 7/15/12
291.0: This Week 7/22/12 --> Gained 0.8 lbs - BMI = 36.4
215.5 lbs Total Weight Loss
I inched up 0.8 lbs this week again. Now that's two weeks in a row with a small increase. I am going on vacation to Cape Cod coming this coming week so I am going to need to be extra careful. I plan on being more active than I've ever been with long beach walks and some hiking planned. Hopefully that will help me to get a downward tick next week. Either way I still feel amazing. I have been walking mostly every day at work, still taking the stairs most times, and walk my Labradoodle puppy each morning but have not been going to the gym at all. That is the key ingredient that I know I'm missing. Along with passing on an occasional chip here and there. The running made me feel good and went a big way to keeping any indiscrepencies in check!! Must get back on track with that if I want to see lower numbers on the scale.
I finally made my return appearance to my beloved Fenway Park in many, many years this past Friday night. Last time I was there my wife had got us great tix (next to the player's wives) behind home plate and I was so uncomfortable in the seats that we left our seats after one inning with my hip bones literally aching from being squished by the hard plastic and wood between the seats and my knees aching from the seat in front of me. Well, I'll be happy to report that I can now fit comfortably in the seats and had no problem whatsoever passing by people when I had to get up and take my daughter's for souvenirs. The sox ended up losing (Darn you Beckett!!) but it didn't matter as my girls (who you all know play for the Blue Jays softball team) were actually rooting for the Blue Jays anyway. Good we were in a mostly Blue Jays fan section!!
Anyway, hope everyone has a great week. I'm off to beautiful Cape Cod!
Regards,
Mike

Hi Fellas,
My Stats:
High weight: 296
Weight at initial consult 1-19-2012: 269
Weight at surgery 4-23-12: 230
Last week: 181
This week: 182
Total weight lost: 87
Slight uptick this week of a pound. Not sure where I have strayed... Work is flat out, working on projects at home steady every day, getting in my protein and water. Guess I need to start counting again and forgo some of the home repairs and get back on the treadmill. I have my 4 month follow up around Aug. 20th, need to be at or below goal by then, hoping for more.

Hug your kids every day, let them know they are loved, keep them safe the best you can.

Hey guys,
I'm not posting stats this week as I am miles and miles away from my scale. I'm guessing I'm probably at 170- maintaining. I'm heading out from Del Ray to Key West in an hour or so in a Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible for a few days of R&R. I got a 5 miler in Friday morning and was going to repeat this morning- alas- it's currently pouring outside. I guess I will tour Duval St in my running shoes!
Meals and excercise have been status quo but have been indulging in some ****tails a little more frequently than usual. What- no kids, no driving and no schedule? Bring it!
I went to a Starbucks and bought individual Iced coffee packs for the road trip- only to find out that they were "Slightly presweetened". Bummer- that sugar will just not go down my throat. Oh, well!
We'll be back on the Cape on Friday- Mike- message me with you phone # if your still around on the weekend- we'll hook up!
That is all from me for now, good luck and have a good week. I will!!

Highest: 407 lb
Surgery: 5/17/2010
Last week: 190.0 lb
This week: 189.4 lb
Fluctuation this week: -0.6 lb
Total lost: 217.6 lb
Down about half a pound this week. I'll take it! Hit the gym oly twice last week, but I have stayed active, walking daily at lunch, taking the stairs, etc. the lunchtime walks are actually enjoyable, but I'm afraid I may be getting an undeserved reputation as a mall rat.
I work across the parkinging lot from a mall (in a mid rise office building), so several days a week rather than drive to lunch, I walk the parking lot to the mall, eat something light like a yogurt and spend an hour walking around the mall. It's at the point where the security guards recognize me and say hello. So, rather than walk inside the mall I've begun walking around the outside of the mall, but recently they've been watching for theft from parked cars. Now, I'm probably on the watch list for that! But, I've found some great car stereos and GPS systems!
Have a great week guys!

Little up tick here too. Blame it on muscle mass acquired via lugging the soon to be grandkids, and all their CRAP, around this weekend!
Went to an indoor water park yesterday. Place was packed! There is still a lot of work for bariatic and plastic surgeons in East TX. Did have a fairly significant FART while I was there....went down or through the two largest slides there without issue. One negative though - got mildly racked while sitting at the back of the wave pool when a rogue wave caught the boys. Ughhhhhhh
Did my ears deceive me this morning but heard on the morning news that the Cowboys are heading to training camp next weekend? Is it getting time for football? Is the Universe soon to be back in harmony?

204 Today
Haven't posted since 7/1. Mostly ****ed that I bounced off 204 three weeks ago and went back up to 209 last week. Didn't think I was being that bad but the scale doesn't lie. Back down to 204 today as it should be after hard work yesterday.
Had my 6 month surgeon post op on Thursday and they were happy with me, BMI down from 38 to 27. Hope to get to onederland in a couple of weeks.
Hope everyone has a great week, Tim and Mike enjoy those active vacations, it is so rewarding to be able to move again.
Best,
Roger

321 9/21/11 RNY Surgery Day
Last week approx 206
This morning, 203.8!!
I hit new record lows this weekend, previously 206 was the lowest I had gotten to.
My FART for this weekend... my first ever 5k road course!!! I finished in 35:44, I blame the bluriness of the picture due to my INSANE speed!! :)
Mile 1 I wondered...why am I doing this..what do I need to prove? It had been over 3 weeks since I had run, my knees had started bothering me a bit and I had to back off. So I felt bad that I had to back off and walk a bit to recover... then I crossed the mile marker at 10:30 which is pretty durn quick (my best ever was 10 minute mile before!!)
So then I felt better and settled into the run. I did have to walk in places, especially the million mile long uphill sections (ok maybe not quite that long...) but mile marker 2 was at approx 22-23 minutes and finished at 35:44. (11:30ish pace for the whole race)
I wanted to see the before/after weights from the race, I was 205.8 before the race, and then raced, (ate supper) and got home and was 204.8 on Saturday evening.
Life sure is fun...hoping that I might see ONEderland soon!!?
