I reckon the storms that have played havoc on the East Coast causing the power outages have not only knocked OH out of whack but put Mike in the Dark Age.
Have a Happy and Safe Fourth of July! I get the honors of being in the local Chamber of Commerce dunking booth that evening. Keep dropping hints that they would make more money with an attractive woman in there than they will with me!
Remember if you have to drink and drive my compadres and I will provide the "chaser"!

I continue to stay within my 5 lbs maintenance range. I’m currently about 21 months post-op and can’t believe the difference in my mobility and quality of life.
Although I don’t post often, I still come to this site and track my weight at least once a week.
Hoping all goes well for the guys on the East coast and those in the fire areas. Weather this summer is not that friendly.
Also echo Don’s wishes for a safe and enjoyable 4th of July.

WOOO HOOOO!!! What a week! Lost 3.6 lbs. Very happy with that. I have just over a wee****il I leave for Hawaii. I was hoping to be below 250 by then (when I started planning the trip), then revised that to 225 back a few months ago when I beat that by a long shot. Now I am going to be below 220!!!!
This week saw a lot of activity. Did a lot of landscaping in the yard. Made it to the gym 4 times this week, and was very active at work all week. I am very pleased. Next week will prove to be super busy trying to get everything finished up before I am gone for 3 weeks. Unfortunately, yesterday when I was finishing up the yard work, I pulled a muscle in my back, so I am not confident that this next week will prove as active at the gym and such. Oh well, I'll soldier on!
I am hoping that Michael and everyone else up there in the right hand side of the US are doing OK. I just assumed he hadn't posted this morning because of OH problems. When I first logged in, it wouldn't load. Hope to hear from our east coast brothers soon, so we know they are ok. If not, we Texas guys will have to entertain ourselves this week! Ken- Where you at???
With my new assignment at work, I am responsible for the police fleet. I have been having quite a lot of fun the past few weeks demo'ing all of the various patrol vehicle options. (We used to be a Crown Vic Dept) We started with the Charger - unimpressed. Then did both of the Interceptors, and I liked the way the SUV (Explorer) handled. Then got the chance to drive the new Caprice and Tahoe. I am very much the fan of the Caprice. It is a BEAST! (Chevy is delivering one of each next week for us to play with for two weeks) What are ya'll going with at your Dept?
Podunk PD's at budget time are like the little tykes with Santa Claus. You can put your list in but what you get back may not be what you wanted!
Looking at possibly two Tahoes and a pick up but we may be lucking to see one Tahoe or one truck - if that. I try not to get my hopes up too high. Really like to see a raise first.

Yeah, this sites been effed up for most of the day up here in the N.E. too busy to post this morning, anyway-
Well, I'm maintaining at 170 and couldn't be happier about landing there. I will be one year out next Thursday and have met all my expectations and more as a result of WLS surgery and the subsequent lifestyle change this whole journey has provided me. Aside from the 5- something lbs. of skin around my gut and surrounding areas, I am looking and feeling better than I have in decades. I have increased the distance of my running sessions to 5 miles + at a whack a couple of times a week and upper body weight training at least twice a week. My knees have been holding up extremely well and the excercise has driven my overall energy level through the roof.
Summer is in full swing out here on Cape Cod and traffic is nuts, but the weather is fantastic. Yard work, a wedding, and taxiing the kids around has pretty much consumed a vast majority of my time this weekend. I did get a nice beach walk this morning at the Cape Cod National Seashore where the pooch and I usually wind up for the beach walks these days- went about 2 miles out to the desolate part of the beach and had a swim and a nice cigar on the way back. Hot as a mother, though and I could feel myself dehydrating on the spot.
I will dig up some old pics and do before and after on my profile just for ****s and giggles this coming week. Have a safe and happy holiday, all. p.s. our town has a new interceptor with a huge Ford decal. I thought it was a friggin' pace car when I first saw it. I just hope Ford kicked in for the advertising !!

Site back up! East coast folks fine around here. A little rain got me off my deck project and into the house. Like Tim said: "Hot as a mother!"
Loss af a pound again this week, looks like I am in a mini stall. Made it to the gym only once this week as I am putting a deck on my house, working on that most evenings after work. I should also cut out some of the starches I have been eating and I do love a nice iced coffee with cream and a touch of sugar in the afternoons now that it is hot out! Was forced by my wife to go clothes shopping, I am down to a size 38 jeans from my "old" size 46. It is time for another new belt and my shirts hang on me in a very rediculous fashion. Two other thoughts: Isn't it funny that as you lose weight your calories from exercise go down... aren't we supposed to get positive reinforcement from the display on the treadmill for working out? Also, my wife commented that if I lose much more weight my nipples will be down around my waist line, not a good look!
9 lbs from "official" goal weight!
Have a great week you bunch of fantastic losers!
Brian

Pretty good week all in all. Happy that I have been able to stay within 5 pounds of my weight range which after looking at my data on fitday.com is between 195 and 200. Considering my starting weight of 350, pretty pleased!!
Eating was so so this week. I did eat alot of protein and fruits, but had several summer functions to attend and found myself falling back to bad habits of grazing. I will be focusing on that the upcoming week. In terms of water, been drinking more than 64oz a day as the heat has been brutal in NE this past week.
Lastly, exercise was good. I ran 2 X this week and got to do weight training once. Also, will be competing in my 4th 5K on July 3rd at Patriot Place, home of the NE Patriots. The route goes around the stadium then in to it and the finish is on the 50 yard line. As a life long Patriots fan, I cannot tell you how excited I am!! All of this because of WLS....what a miracle!
Still, got to to be sure to get my rest. I started Summer Camp last week where I am the Director for 150 kids between the ages of 5-12 and it wore me out!!
Hope all of you have a nice week...
Yours in WLS,
Bill

216.5 Last Sunday morning post on 5/20
204.5 Today
I've been tied up on Sundays for longer than I realized, lots of family stuff including moving #1 child 600 miles and the last two weekends traveling for vacation. We were happy to get away from the FL gulf coast a couple to days ahead of the tropical storm. Crazy busy at work this week, but lots of good outside work at home last Sunday and yesterday and today. I spent most of the month of June stuck at 211 plus or minus 2 pounds. Finally got the scales moving again this week like I mean it, funny what mindful eating and pushing water will do for you if you throw in a little movement.
Hope you all have a good week and enjoy the holiday. God Bless America!
