Sunday Morning Weigh In - Summer is Here Edition
Good Evening Gents,
The Numbers:
346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
199: Last Week 6/17/12
195: This Week 6/17/12 --> Loss of 4 pounds - BMI 30
150: Total Weight Loss
Good Week! As a school teacher pretty psyched as last Monday was the last day of school. I went with my family for a Mini Vacation to New Hampshire and had a wonderful trip. Then home for coaching my daughters 10U Travel Softball Team, the Taunton Twisters. Finally, this weekend some family parties and spending time w/ my kids!
Eating was better this week. I had a much better focus on being mindful of my eating and as a result felt alot better in terms of my food intake. Also, as hot as it was here in Mass, I was drinking a TON of water.
Lastly, exercise was good. I competed in my 3rd 5K and ran a personal best of 28:20 to finish 22nd out of 75 people. Really psyched about my running as I continue to do better each race!!
Still, got to be sure to get my rest. I start a Summer Camp tomorrow where I am the Director for 150 kids between the ages of 5-12!!
Hope all of you have a nice week...
Yours in WLS,
Bill

Four pounds this week. Is 195 a new all time low? That's amazing! Glad you were able to get a few days downtime in NH. I know how busy you've been and now go directly into summer camp. My girls are psyched to attend after the 4th of July week. Great job with the running. I need to get back on track and get another race goal for myself. Keep up the good work.

Sorry I'm late, guys, spent the entire day celebrating the Provincetown Blessing of the Fleet and Portugese Festival in P-Town, MA yesterday. My good buddy just bought a 26' boat and pretty much spent the day on it or the beach that you can only get to by boat.
Finished my 3rd. 5K road race in Harwichport- Sat. a.m.- 26.14- a little better than my last time. I'm gonna work up to a 10K through the summer, we'll see how it goes.
I had a couple of " I could just graze all day" days and I think I did 'till I look back at what I actually ate and considering that it usually isn't junk that's going in it wasn't that bad.
Mike- great news on your numbers going south, and congrats, Don, I wouldn't be the wise-ass that I am if I didn't say" why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" but I'm goin' on 18 years myself!
Good luck all, and we'll be in touch!

355 8/1/11 Day 1 of the program
321 9/21/11 Surgery Day (RNY)
207.0 as of this morning, 206.x was the low point during the week!! I am doing ok on my diet, not good, not terrible. I suspect I am "bulking up" musclewise, well.. because I see them and can feel the difference in just 3 weeks of p90x!
So even though the scale is not moving down over the last 3 weeks, I can tell I am losing size/inches! I actually tried on and FIT in a size L jacket this weekend at REI, up to this point it has been XL in shirts / jackets!
Wife and I took the Harley up to Asheville this weekend, our first "Road Trip!" We took it pretty easy, about an hourish and then a break and another hourish and we were there.
Did some driving around town and 50+ miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway, over to Mt. Pisgah (Nice Inn and store there)
We had invited quite a few of our friends to go with us, and stayed in a cousin's Mountain house (4800sf, wowsers!) We splashed in the pool, watched tv, and had a good time.
Got caught in a torrential downpour on the way home, but at least we have experienced it now, just a matter of getting wet and keep driving. We got back to the sunshine and the jeans were basically dry by the time I pulled in the driveway.
Life is Good!
