Sunday Morning Weigh In
330: High Weight
323: Surgery Weight
291.6: Last Week's Weight
287: Today's Weight
Down another 4.6 lbs this week and its about time to start ratcheting up the exercise. I've been adding more solid foods to my diet and some go well and others not so much. It seems like the lean meats that I need so much for the protein are the ones that are the hardest to digest. Any pointers here?
Personally its been great spending so much time at home but I'm feeling like its time to get back to work. I head back to Costa Rica in a little over a week. I'm excited to be back but I do wish I could stay here and complete this journey in a place that has more food availability. Oh well, God has a plan! Thanks for everyones support in answering all my questions. I hope everyone has a great week!

Highest: 407 lb
Surgery: 5/17/10
Last week: 187.8 lb
This week: 188.8 lb
Fluctuation this week: +1.0 lb
Total loss: 218.2 lb
Overall, a decent week for me. Holding my own on the scale and for the most part making good eating decisions. Although, yesterday I paid the price for a bad one. We were driving and decided it was time for something to drink and stopped in a heritage 50s style coffee shop. I was planning to just have coffee, but the homemade pies sign caught my eye. I figured, a small piece of pie, what the hell...
The problem wasn't the pie ... I wasn't aware of it, but this place brings everyone who sits down a big basket that contains one massive yeast roll and a cornbread muffin. Now, I am talking about a roll that rivals a small loaf of fresh bread. I avoid breads. I love it too much and I don't do well with it in the pouch. But the temptation was too much. Although I didn't begin to eat even a quarter of it, I had enough to send my stomach into cramps and spasms. I hurt like hell for about an hour. I guess a good reminder to stay on the straight and narrow.
Have a good week, guys!

Good Morning,
The Numbers:
346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
197: Last Week 6/3/12
197: This Week 6/10/12 --> No change - BMI 30
150: Total Weight Loss
Good week overall. Happy that I maintained my weight on the scale at 197. Reviewing my records I have been between 195 and 200 for a good couple months. At the start of this journey in all honesty I was hoping to get down to 225 from 350. As such reaching, and most importantly now, MAINTAINING a weight between 195 and 200 is Terrific.
In terms of eating, still getting in protein first and have still been food logging. I usually eat about 1800 calories a day. Some days a little more, some a little less but it averages out. Also, still ensuring that I drink plenty of water.
Exercise went well this week. Got in 3 runs of about 5 miles each time. Amazing, me running 5 miles not ONCE but TRHEE times in a week, now that is a stinky FART!!!!
As always, loved posts today, enjoyed everyone sharing their experience, strength, and hope on this jourey!
Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill

Very busy week again this week. Only made it to the gym twice this week, but did get in a 10 mile bike ride yesterday to make sure I got my cardio in for the week. Still working at the C25K program, week 4. Doing much better at the program overall than I expected, but still have a long way to go.
Wife and I booked the last of our excursions and activities this week for our trip to Hawaii in July. (Don't look for me on here July 12-30th, as I will be on vacation for that period) All is bought and paid for, so now we just have to wait for the clock and calendar to get us to departure day. Get to do some zip-lining this time, something I haven't been able to do before, because they have a weight limit. I am now way under the weight limit. No more limits for me!!! I am 1.2 lbs away from my personal mini-goal of being under 225lbs before Hawaii. (I had to revise that goal because it was to be below 250, but I blew past that a long time ago)
Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Keep up the great work everyone!
