what to eat
You just have to experiment. I pureed all kinds of things.. even chicken.. Warning.. everything looks really gross, but surprisingly some things were palatable. In the beginning I supplimented with protein shakes.. (try blending a bananna in with the shake to kill the protein powder taste) Some Weight loss centers discourage protein shakes.. wanting you to eat real food.. but there is no way I would have gotten anywhere close to the protein requirements without drinking protein shakes in the early months.

Hi Dan,
My nut had me go straight to soft foods after liquids... Ask them if you can do cottage cheese, lunch meat, tuna, broiled fish, tender chicken... If I had to blend my foods after having been on shakes for 2+ weeks I would have lost my mind! (What is left of it).

Hug your kids every day, let them know they are loved, keep them safe the best you can.

My doc and nut really stressed NOT using a protein shake for meal replacement. I had RNY surgery and they felt that the protein shake would quickly pass thru the pouch and I wouldn't get that full feeling.
I use the protein shakes as a snack - especially after excercising.
Totally agree that you should be eating mostly protein. In the early stages I loved mixing a little canned tuna or canned chicken with some cottage cheese. Refried beans, chili, and string cheese were also favorites for meals.
Again, I'd really recommend EATING your protein during a meal and not drinking it.
