For all those that are interested, I had my 5 week post-op visit and the doctor is very happy with my blood and lab results.  The Doctor was very shocked with the fact that I was able to put 4 pounds of muscle on, usually patients loose a pound of muscle with a pound of fat the first month, she pleased.  I have been on a 3 week plateau where I have not lost but have been diligent with my food intake.  She wants me to actually get more calories and get back to the gym.  I am very excited to be able to get my Jits on again, my Mountain Warrior brothers look out!!!

I have been trying new foods and am having a very difficult time with most, I was told this time is difficult for most and to keep at it.  I have been tracking my food presented her with a log which she was very pleased with.  We went through the log and she commented on data, it was a great tool and I suggest all patients go through this exercise

All in all things are going good even though I have not lost any weight in three weeks(which frustrates me).  I have lost a total of 50lb sense I began this journey in September.  Thanks all for the support.

Good Job!!  I think you don't need to worry I would assume that here are times when you won't loose anything and then boom you will loose more again...

Keep on, keeping on!!  :)

If your building muscle your doing something right. The weight will start to come off again. I went through the same thing. Getting back in the gym will bring some good results I'm sure plus you'll put on even more muscle which is a good thing.
Keep at it!

Sounds like you are on the right track!!  Putting on muscle at this stage is awesome.  I'm just one week behind you and I have just now been cleared to do resistance training.  Get all the protein and working out is a must if you don't want to lose muscle too.  The scales might not show as much movement but your clothes will!!!  I want to maintain as much muscle as I can but I also like to see that scale move.

I've been one of the lucky ones I guess because I haven't had any trouble with the any of the new foods I've tried.  Chicken, hamburger and shrimp have all gone down without any problems.  I do take my time and chew like crazy.  I'm not real good at tracking and keeping up with things but I did force myself to do it to make sure I was getting what I needed and staying within my guidelines but then I slacked off.

Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!!

Hi,

Sounds like good news overall. Gotta be happy w/ the muscle gain at this point in the journey.

Early in the process the food part can be challening. Keep trying different items, but keep focused on the protein!
