Sunday Morning Weigh In
Highest: 330
Last Week: 306.6
This Week: 301.6
Lost 5lbs this week. Now I know this a good wegiht loss for one week but I was really hoping to see the other side of 300. So close but yet so far. Other good things have happened though. My energy has returned and it couldn't have come back at a better time. My mother got married last night and I've got a presentation for work today. So I need to be on my game.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Blake

Missed last week due to a mini-vacation away from my go-to scale at home, but the number hasn't changed. Not sure if it's a stall or that's "it". I'm pretty comfortable where I am now, aside from the 5 lbs or so of extra skin on the gut line. I'm only 10 1/2 months out and they told me at Tufts I could lose for 12 to 18 months after surgery. I did lose 40 lbs. pre-op and it took 6 months, so I can't help wondering.
I brought the running outfit to FLA and ran around the 8 circles in the retirement community I visited. I was out the door around 7:30 every morning I was there and estimated the run at about 3 1/2 miles. The wife's sister had a weight bench and some free weights on the carport that I used to keep my workout schedule "fresh". It did the trick.
I have signed up for another 5K in 2 weeks, this one benefits the local elementary school. I participated in a "running club" sponsored by my gym which basically consisted of my trainer (28 yr old, single good looking chick, by the way-and totally buff) and two other novice runners and my pooch, who has been my dedicated running partner, jogging circles around town. 5K (3.1 miles) is getting kind of effortless for me and I am anxious to push my endurance limits to see how far they go. It's hard to imagine I'm describing this as routine as this time last year it would have been unthinkable. No ****!
I had labs done last week for blood sugar A1C and cholesterol and they both came back within normal parameters. Blood pressure is holding steady. All is good.
Don't buy too many of those jeans Brian, at the rate you're going they will not fit in a few months. Ya lookin' good, Bro!
Thanks for listening to my rant this week. This whole journey is working out pretty well for me and hopefully I can encourage you guys just getting started to see the potential for a second chance at a new life. It's awesome!!
Just sayin,,,,

Great Post! Love the comments about running. I have ran 2 5K's and am now regularly running anywhere from 3.5 to 4.5 miles every other day. Hate when I miss my running, cannot even believe THAT I SAID THAT!!
All else sounds like it is going well. Are you going to Plymouth Group on Thursday?
Yours in WLS,

Finally lost a pound and a half after a two week stall. Perhaps related to snacking too much and sitting on the couch instead of walking. Working around the house this weekend with lots of seldom used muscles has got me losing again. Who would have thought?
Y'all have a great week. Brian, good work!

When ever I'm asked how I'm feeling, the answer is always the same.
" Unbelievable, and getting better " It works now matter how you feel, yet gives you a sense that things are always looking up.
My dear friends, things are looking up. Or in our case, looking down. I am down 3 pounds this week and feeling unbelievable.
Have a great week, and may the FARTS be with you.
