Well on the 2nd May had a seven hour op whi*****luded a gastrectomy. All has gone well, although the pain level from the staples in my chest (open op cut centre to rear left,) gets to me occasionally, and then I have to use the pain meds, one of which sends me off to sleep land! Tomorrow I get the staples out which means getting out of bed will be less painful. I am getting the hang of the diet which is drinks only until next Wednesday when I can slowwly add protine light solids. The last four days have managed 3 and 2 walks a day. I would give any snail a run for their money! The worts part? The nasal tube I had in for four days, I am a gagger! Still, pain passes and I have a swollen chest at the moment. Took three days to get from the lazy boy to the bed! Only really started sleeping well yesterday. Anyway, thanks for your support. Great medical team. Arohanui. Ian.
Great to see you back, best of luck and a speedy recovery!
Hug your kids every day, let them know they are loved, keep them safe the best you can.
