RNY on 04/16/12
I just found the Men's forum so I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself before jumping into conversations.

My name is Todd and I live in the foothills of NC.  I had RNY surgery on the 16th of April and I'm down 20lbs from surgery and 36lbs from the start of my pre-op diet on April 2nd.

I drove 4 hours to Knoxville Tenn to have my surgery because Dr. Boyce is rated in the top 10 in the country.  It was worth the drive!!!

So far, I have had it pretty good.  I haven't had any pain or nausea.  I am on pureed foods at this point and really haven't had any hunger.  I have a harder time getting in the 64 oz of liquid I'm suppose to but that's the only issue I have so far.  Knock-On-Wood!!!!!!

I look forward to reading and participating on the Men's Forum, the other forum has been helpful but I have felt a little out of place because most on there are women and their needs and concerns often differ from ours.

Anyway...That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

Welcome aboard ..........loser.

Come on in. The water's always fine since the estrogen level is very, very low which keeps the drama near zero. (I'd like to say the estrogen is zero, but some of these mugs wear baby powder to smell better ....HAHAHA)

Just keep sipping and you will probably be able to rejoice in a gulp of water in the near future.

DON'T pu**** though or you will pay.

Welcome Todd! You found the right spot. Some really good examples of good WLS on this page. We're not to far apart I had my RNY on 3/26.
The water part does get better with time since you'll be able to drink a little more at one time as the days go by.
I look forward to your upcoming posts.
