Hi Mike,

Nice post. Still losing!! So impressed, but not surprised as I know how hard you are working at eating and exercising. You are a role model for us all!!

As far as softball, agreed it was a great game and I have a feeling we will see each other come playoff time...good stuff!!

Best,

Hi All,

The Numbers:

346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
199: Last Week 4/29/12
195: This Week 5/6/12 -->  4 Pound Loss this week - BMI = 29
151: Total Weight Loss

WooHoo....Finaly got past the 196 mark and reached my GOAL of losing over 150 pounds...Yeah Baby....sorry, but a little excited as you can see!! Enough of that now...

Like they say the numbers don't lie. Thrilled to see a weight loss of 4 pounds. In spite of a hectic schedule, school, grad school, 3 kids etc made better choices in eating. Obviously that helped!! Still, going to try to keep the momentum this week and keep foccusing on Mindful Eating and water intake.

Another FART was that I ran my 2nd 5K today. I was hoping to break the 28 minute time  but came in at 28:01, still happy as the course was VERY tough, so close to a 40 second reduction from y 1st 5K 2 weeks ago is terrific.

Be well my friends....
Have a great week guys!

Best,
Bill

323 9/21/11 Surgery Day

Wow, just realized I had passed the 100lb mark from surgery a few weeks ago and had not really paid attention.

218.2 last Week.... and 217.8 was the lowest this week on Thursday or Friday morning, I forget which.

This morning the number was up, 220.x, but that is pretty normal for me, up 2, then down, etc.

My FART for the weekend was being "one of those guys".... you know the types, you are at a hotel, you see the fitness room and wonder...."who are those guys" that actually bother with the gym while on vacation!??

I wanted to get my run in, but it was 8pm already and I decided to hit the treadmill for my C25k, so sure enough, I become "one of those guys" down there by myself, running the Week 3 (Day 2) spurts of 90 seconds and 3 minutes... it felt great!!

Saturday I actually RAN on the beach for the first time ever...though it was short lived, only a 90 second burst... the sand goes from hard to soft too quickly / without warning and I really do not want an injury at this point!  But it was glorious, the walking too.

So a great weekend, looking forward to my first 5k cross country on June 2nd and just finished reading "Born to Run" this weekend.  GREAT book if you are interested in running, very inspiring for me / I can see where I am going!!

Hi Sam,

Great post...congrats on breaking the 100 pound mark!! That is terrific.

The running comment was so funny. I too was out of town this past weekend and went to the fitness center and did a 40 minute run on the treadmill. I ran my 2nd 5K this past weekend and finished 75th out of 207 runners...pretty psyched!!

Congrats on all your achievements...many more still to come!

Best,
Bill

Good Afternoon everyone,  Hope everyone's week is going well.  Congrats on getting to your goal Tim!!!!!  Great Accomplishment!

Mike, I can remember those days..girls softball...trying to keep the kids focused.  It does change as the kids get older.....the high school coach always complained about the boys team...Once the boys team took the field for practice..the girls would drop their gloves and start fixing their hair and uniform..etc.....enjoy the dandelion time...:)  My youngest is 24....

Down 2 lbs.....had my first lab work done last week and will see my surgeon on the 24th..looking forward to it...

Hope everyone has a great week.....

Sorry for the late post.  I was out of town at the In-Laws house (In the woods) and didn't have my scale or computer.  However, here is my update:

Was at the wife's family reunion this weekend and had some deserts.  Even with the 'less than mindful' eating there, still down 3.2 lbs for the week.  Pretty stoked about that!!!

I just got home from the gym tonight and wore myself out!!!  I decided to run on the treadmill instead of my usual jog on the elliptical.  It wasn't nearly as hard as I remember it being on my knees as the last time I tried it.

Probably the biggest FART for the week for me is I have started getting the comments like "So how much more do you want to lose" or "Aren't you done losing now" and "Don't lose too much more, you'll look too thin".  For some that is annoying, and it will probably end up being for me before it is all over, but for now I am looking at it as evidence that I have come a long way, and am getting close to goal.

Can't wait to see what this next week is going to bring me.

See ya!
