Need Help and Guidance
Hey OldMan,
Just wanted to add my two cents. Family is and always has been difficult for me from the time I was a kid to being an adult. I have my own family now, a loving wife and 3 amazing kids. Still, I believe for me one of the reasons for my obesity was issues I had as a kid growing up. I have a lot of painful memories and alot of things I wish had been different. Ultimately, I realized I was not HAPPY with me. That is one reason I MADE THE DECISION to have WLS. I did consult with my wife, but in the end I, and I alone, had to face the choices that lie ahead for WLS.
18 months later, 151 lbs less, having run 2 5K races, and feeling better physically, mentally, and emotionally I can say without hesitation it is the best decision I have ever made. I hope you stick with it and do it for yourself...
Best,
Bill

Thanks for the encouraging words. Feeling better phtsically, mentally and emotionally sounds great. I know I'll never run again but to be able to walk a decent distance is my goal. 10 days out but it would be a lot harder if I didn't have these forums and all the pros to give me advise on what to expect.
