Good Morning Everyone
Good stuff on the board this morning!

Mike - I had to give up coaching youth sports after 30 years last fall because I just couldn't do it physically so I went into semi retirement and hope to get back at it this fall. It is so much fun to give back to the kids and it helps keep you young at heart for sure!

As for me I lost 6 pounds between my doctor's and my scale. Much better after being stuck for a little while but I focused on everything just to make sure I was following the recommendations.

Big news was I was back in the gym yesterday morning!! It's been almost a year since my back problems allowed me to do that. It felt so go to pull those dumb bells off the rack even though I'm down weight wise from where I was my last time lifting. I'm going have to be real conscience of my protein intake if I want to try and gain some muscle. I got my cardio in also which actually wan't as bad as I thought it would be. It felt so good to have the post workout muscle twinge where you know you just worked those muscles.

Hope everyone has a good and sounds like busy week!!
Stoney

Hi Stoney, keep doing what you are doing and I have no doubt you'll back to coaching and with a vengance before you know it.  It truly is amazing how good I feel now!  Good Luck!

Nothing earth shattering but I lost 2 pounds this week instead of only 1.5#.  I expect to be at 60% of goal by my 4 month surgiversary on the 3rd of May.

Y'all have a great week, thanks for the encouragement of your stories and FARTS.

Happy Sunday Everyone,

Looks like all of you have had a great week both from a weight perspective but also from an activity one.  Mike, I have to see I have been there when it comes to chairs!!!!!  Man oh man...if I had a dollar for each time I felt that way...

I am down 2 lbs this weeks which seems to be my consistent loss at this time.  As you have all said, it slows down over time and you have to be more viligant.

I hope everyone has a great week.  Keep up the good work.

Oh yeah, I will likely have permanent "Lawn Chair Phobia".  I am not gonna lie to you in that many a lawn chair has met their match with me in the past!

355  8/1/11 - Start of program and my official "highest" weight since my scale would record "ERR" at 330.x I really never knew exactly what I weighed.

323  9/21/11 - Surgery Day - RNY

I looked back, I dropped to 222.x on 4/11/12 and was there approx 2 weeks fluctuating up and down a pound or so!

So officially I was 223.2ish last Monday, an up day.

and

218.2 this morning!!

So after a couple weeks of nothing, I dropped 5 pounds this week!!

I exercised 5 days last week, C25k on Monday and Wednesday.  Tues and Thur was Krav Maga and then Saturday it was a 5k WALK for cure for diabetes!!

The course was NOT level, some major hills, and my wife really had a tough time (she had stroke 4 years ago, disabled now, right leg really never came back fully)

We finished as a team (about 15 of us) in 1:20 for the walk... but we spent a good bit of the time organizing ourselves for the Marine MUD run in June!!

It is a 5k cross country run with obstacles, mud pits and Marine Drill Instructors "motivating" you to keep moving!!!  Should be a blast!!

Took the wife, nephew and sister in law to the lake yesterday... the Corvette actually got traded for a SKI BOAT!!  (Been driving the Harley on the pretty days.....boat seats more family than the vette!)

So altogether a BUSY / active week...walked a 5k, exercised a ton, got my eating habits under control and lost 5 pounds....gee I wonder if those things are related!?
