I stopped watching Letterman over a decade ago...glad I stopped...
I'm gettting the "page not found" error message on that link, but I presume you're talking about Letterman's recent "fat jokes" tossed out at NJ governor Chris Christie (I think I got that right) at the DC Press Club's presidential gala last week. Christie looked like he took the jokes in good stride, but I bet deep down inside he was pissed, and aggravated how so many people keep throwing up his body weight as a negative.
I used to get SO mad at Leno for all the "fat jokes" he cracks on his show, esp. when he beats up on obese kids with them. But, I really think that Jay is possibly using his area of talent (i.e. humor) to try to bring attention to the problem by the American public in the best way he knows how -- so I cut him some slack there. Letterman's personal attack against one particular heavyweight though is, IMHO, inexcusable.

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )
