How much did you eat

Just curious as to how much you remeber eating during your early days and how much it has changed to what you eat now.  I am getting enough protein and eat a few veggies mixed in and I am averaging 550-650 calories.  Im not hungry although the thought of eating late at night does tempt me from time to time.  I wonder how I will progress and to what level of calories.  My goal weight set by me is somewhere around 210 which would require me losing 153 pounds.  I do know to be at that weight before I had to watch what I ate and work out a  but I was 22 then.  Just wonder if the rule of thumb of 100 calories per 10lbs of weight is applicable after surgery years down the road.

Concerning the calories, you may be come up a little short in that area.  Remember you are trying to loose weight quickly while retaining muscle mass.  You may want to talk to the hospital's dietitian/nutritionist.  If you are coming up short on your protein you may want to put a small teaspoon of cottage cheese on the night stand before bed.  If you wake up in the middle of the night (since you are sip sip sipping away)...have the food...Extra protein when you least expected it...

I actually get worried I may be eating too much.  I stay up late becasue the house is quiet and I am studying then and I have a urge not sure if its hunger for something to eat even if its a cheese stick or a piece of shaved lunch meat but they only want me eating three meals a day and snacks are a glass of milk.  the theory here is they believe the snacking habit is what led people down the this road in the first place.  I get the theory but sometimes even in my early stage of this it gets a little cumbersome.  I know I know discipline and good habits need to be established to learn life long good habits.  Just a pain in the ass is what Im saying.  I will continue on try to up it a bit and email my nut.  I dont really sip much at least not like I did the first 3 weeks.  Im not gulping but I can take several small sips rather quickly, rest and begin again,  getting in 64oz minimum is quite easy now.

For me (for now), I'm simply sticking to the meal suggestions outlined in the post-op diet guidelines provided...I make sure that I get in the protein and and the fluids...not even the least bit concerned about the calories at this point...

Hell, I can't eat more than 2 oz. of food at any given meal, anyway!!
