Calling all Jocks

Ok, so I don't think I have EVER wore a jock strap/cup... or maybe once in 8th or 9th grade.

But during Krav Maga class yesterday I took a grazing blow to my little friends and suddenly I wish to protect them!!!  (Quitting Krav not being the answer here...)

So, the guy I was sparring with was sorry, kick got away from him, but he did suggest getting a cup for protection.  (He has been training a while, knows what he is doing)

I had not even thought about it before... so, wanted to get some advice from the guys about what works, what does not... are there "sizes", etc?

I flipped through the various options on Amazon, I see some compression short looking pants that I like the look of better than wearing a "strap" all day long.  (I work out at lunch time)

Basically....all thoughts and suggestions welcomed.

A cup is different from a jock strap.  The cup will usually fit into a jock strap.  Baseball catchers (for obvious reason) will wear them.  You might want to go to your local sporting goods store...Ask questions and be fitted for your needs.  I haven't worn one for 30 years, so I'm sure the athletic industry has changed...Below is a typical cup used for people in sports...

I wondered if I could wear one just in my boxer briefs, assuming they are tight, without a need for the "strap" to hold them in place?

I have eyeballed the various compression shorts as well for wearing as underwear for the days I am running, and I know they are "tight" and might hold the cup firmly in place.

I assume the cup (fitting) has to be big enough to hold FRANK and the BEANS... (see I told you I don't remember )

"Frank and the beans" both fit.  A cup is still not made for comfort but then walking around like the Hunchback of Notre Dame after a shot to the boys is not really a pleaseant alternative either!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Some compression shorts have a "pocket" to hold a cup in place.

Hey Sam,

Like noted, I would go to a local sporting store. They have a lot of different options, but whatever you do you wanna protect the family jewels my friend!!

Best,
Bill
