Congrats Micheal.  I hope you had an excellent run.  There is nothing like that wonderful feeling of having people cheering you on as you travel down the roadways.  Except for maybe that boost of energy you get crossing the finish line.  Good luck and keep on going.

I am stuck again for another week, actually I have gone up .1 of a pound which ticks me off.  Still I am looking at the progress I have made since my surgery and am thinking this is still pretty good.  I am having a little difficulty with food choices.  Mostly in trying to find the right foods for energy that work well with my system.  I thought that the food choice part would be easier than this but I think that is the hardest part of post surgery life.   For me, exercise is pretty easy and straight forward now that spring is here.  I love to get out walking and now that it is nicer outside I even feel like running a bit more.

My 10k is coming up in two weeks so I have been doing practice walks.  It feels wonderful except for the recovery period the next day.  Last weekend I did three 10k practice walks Thursday, Saturday and Monday.  My legs hated me on Tuesday but I lived through it and feeling fine.  Then on this thursday my trainer decided we should work on upper body and I went through the next day with arms like rubber.  I must be a masochist because there is a good feeling from feeling sore after exercising.

Have a great week guys.

Thanks Blake.  It felt amazing.  We started near the back of the pack and we were passing people all the way to the finish line.  I sprinted the last tenth of a mile and to run across that Boston Marathon finish line where the racers will cross during the 26 mile marathon tomorrow was like a dream.   What a feeling!

Mike, your first 5K rates as a big ol' nasty, stinky, room clearing type FART!

Tim, good plan to send the remnants home with the guest.  Gets the temptation out of your reach.

Nice to see a little downward dip again. Hope it continues since I see Dr. Kuhn this week.  Have to finish putting the house back together since the new floors are done.  Remodeling is a regal PITA!

ETA:  Offical 4-yr weight!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Good Morning guys,

Good for you Michael !   You make us proud.  I concur, I wouldn't be able to do this without you guys here to help.

Great week for me. Feeling stronger all the time. Not just physically, but emotional and mentally. No one, not even myself, will compel me to slip from my goals.

Down 5 lbs. this week

Have a wonder week and I'm sure we will read how Michael won the Marathon.
