Sunday Morning Weigh in - Happy Easter / Passover Edition
RNY on 03/26/12
Happy Easter to everyone!!
Great posts this week!
Tomorrow is two weeks post op and I go back to work. I'm a little worried about my stamia but my job is mostly computer work with some lifting I can avoid. Happy to get out of the house for sure and return to a routine again.
Weight on surgery day was 294lbs. Today I was at 374. I'll take it for sure. Heading late to Easter lunch with family because after 5 weeks liquid diet it might throw me over the top to be at the table and all the good smells. I do get to eat soft foods tomorrow!!!!
Thanks again for all the great posts because they do help get through all this!

Happy Easter and Passover to all. Hope you have lots of family time.
After a great week last week I only lost a half pound this week, but I was afraid it would be worse than that after being up a couple of pounds most of the week.
At 226.5 today I wore a 20 year old suit to church this morning, everyone thought it was new, but I had been keeping it always hoping I would fit again someday. Actually it was a little loose.
Hope you guys have a great week.
Roger

Happy Easter guys,
It has been a good week. Nice weather and building up my stamina. I've had several offers of Easter candy but turned them all down
Lost another 2 lbs this week and going to go really strong next week and see if I can improve on that number.
Have a great week everyone and as always, Thanks for all your support.

224.6 Last Week
224.6 This morning
Was UP all week from that number, as high as 226 or 227 I think, but it came back to the 224.6 yesterday morning and again today. What that usually means is I will be at a new low in the next day or two.
Yesterday was neat in that my nephew (4 years old) was at the house for Easter and wanted to ride his bike (training wheels) so I went outside with him. We started off slower and then he got addicted to speed and he kept going faster!
What was neat is that I "jogged" for the first time since my surgery (well for the first time in YEARS...like a whole buncha years / I cannot actually remember!??)
It was not very far, but I had been worrying so much about my knees and the damage I already did to them that I had not tried "running" yet. In fact I had decided to NOT try and do the Couch2 5k, because of the wear and tear on my knees.
Now.....I am re-thinking that position! Mike has inspired me / I cannot believe I have watched him go from nothing to his first 5k in the next week....
So...tonight, my wife and I have a date with the gym/treadmill, loading up C25K on my cell phone and will see what happens!!
(Tomorrow....I have signed up for Krav Maga training, Tues/Thursdays at 11am!!)
So that is my FART...I RAN (jogged) for the first time in YEARS...I did not hurt, I did not really get winded and I might have just got the first taste of becoming an "athlete"..... :)
