Well, I held steady for another week and didn't break into the 200's. Darn! I am in serious training for my 5K race in exactly two weeks and made it to the gym 5 days (Monday through Friday) with running on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Did the elliptical trainer on Tuesday and the arc trainer on Thursday. Also did strength training each day. I didn't take the elevator one time last week and hiked up and down from the 4th floor roughly around 5 times a day. Woo Hoo! I know I put in the work and actually feel thinner this week but the scales just didn't want to cooperate. That's ok as I am in "machine" mode and love it!! Bring on the BAA 5K on April 15th!
I am heading out in a little while to go flying with a friend of mine. Something that a year ago I wouldn't even have considered for fear that I'd overload the plane or not be able to fit in the seat. Really excited about getting some nice pics from the air. We plan on flying to Plymouth for breakfast, then looping over the Cape Cod Canal and back up around over Battleship Cove in Fall River before heading home. Should be fun!!
Softball practice begins this week and looking forward to another great season. Already planning out some fun drills. I'll keep you posted. Well, must get going to get ready for the flight.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Great post, Mike-should be an awesome day for sightseeing!
Well, I dropped what I regained the previous week- and virtually overnight as usual. Glad to see it going in the right direction. I have finished designing my freeweight program with the trainer at my gym and I am excited to begin trying something new and different. It will take 1 1/2" hours to complete at least twice a week, between warmups and stretching afterwards. That is about all the time I can afford after work and between family obligations. After it gets through kicking my ass (I'm sore as hell shoving those weights around) I am anxious to see the results it will provide me.
I am also joining a running club that my trainer has organized that meets twice a week behind the gym. There is a bike path that runs several miles up and down the Cape and will be a good test for me to get off the treadmill. I can bring the pooch as well, I'm sure she'll appreciate it. I am signing up for a 5K run at the end of April. Whoda thunk??
I feel friggin' awesome- my energy level and attitude/self esteem is light years away from where it was just a year ago. Amazing!! I hope all you new guys are paying attention because this is what you will be posting if you stick to the plan.
So, some household chores and recharging for another funfilled, action packed workweek!
Good luck to the rest of you losers!!

I'll attribute any loss this week to the blood the mosquitoes sucked out of me while I was mowing my yard yesterday. Some of them are now needing WLS!
Serious note though able to up the walking some this week plus yard work is good exercise. For the ones who have not heard me mention this before - loose the self propelled lawn mowers! If you need a riding mower because of the size of your yard, like me, have one. But if you can use a push mower, I have part of my yard I do with one of those too, get a plain ol' push mower. Discovered it is easier to use one after losing weight than it was to use a self propelled and it is great exercise!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Happy April Fool's!!!
Not too much to say this morning, my weight drop is slowing, but still dropping towards my goal of 220. The Colorado weather is now in the summer mode and the bicycles are coming out today for tune-ups!! I can't wait to take a ride!!

I was glad to see the downward action on the scale for this week. I've set a maintenance goal of 180-185 and was slightly over last week. My mindset is that if I exceed the top goal two weeks in a row, that I go into emergency (panic?) mode and reassess my diet and activity levels. I'm really wondering if the 5 lb wiggle room is enough, but I am holding tight with this plan for now.
I'm going to find something to do that allows me to enjoy this beautiful weather - maybe a bike ride.
Have a good week, guys.

You posters talking about what all you are doing today and about all your exercise have really lifted my spirits this morning. I did get out to the dog park and walked a few laps this morning with my boxer or since he's been at my side all week I call him nurse "Rachet!!"
