Hi, Gents!  Sorry to crash your board, but I am looking for advice for my husband.  I had RNY in January, and now he is thinking about doing it.  I think it would be an excellent choice for him considering his health and his family's health history.  Is there anything that he should consider that a woman might not think of?  Pros, cons?  Things that surprised you?  Things you wisehd you had known before taking the plunge?  Any regrets?

Thanks for your help!

Have him man up, create a profile and come talk to us himself.

You guys made me laugh!  I will definitely suggest it to him.  I can't say that he will do it - he laughed at me when I told him he should come to my WLS support group, because he thinks that's too girly.

If you want to be a REAL man, try a DIY RNY.  Post it on YouTube.  Broadcast yourself.
