I am the trigger man for our spray foam rig- Myself and a business partner with his teenage kid part time- small but going on 17 years in business. We stick to the lower Cape for business- plenty there for us, especially in Chatham, where the per capita income is off the charts..

That's ok Tim.  You are doing great.  I hear you about the creeping in of those carbohydrates.  You missed a great meeting at Jordan this past week.  They were talking about transfer addiction, alcohol after surgery and such and it was really informative.  If I get a moment this week I'll write up the highlights in a separate post.  I picked up a few things that I was unaware of about alcohol (blood alcohol levels in particular) and RNY post surgery that surprised me.

One other interesting point that was brought up when someone asked if the pouch will actually stretch over time and will become as big as your old stomach was originally.  Well, this is truly a myth and not the truth.  The reality of the situation is that folks can tolerate more and more carbs and begin to take a lot of small, high carbohydrate "meals" or snacks in and end up eating higher calories than their bodies need, resulting in weight gain.  That's right, the exact thing that made us fat in the beginning.  Knowing is half the battle.  Using your tool to your advantage is your key to long term success.

Good Morning Men, I was a little more active this week, even though I am still feeling the pneumonia. I guess I need to see the doctor. Hopefully when I am fully recovered I can take it up a notch or two. I did have a small FART this weekend. My wife and I went away for a few days and we were acutely comfortable sleeping in a queen size bed. In the past, anything but a king size seemed too crowed. BTW my wifey is one of those normal sized people. Anyway down 3 lbs. this week.      Have a great week guys. d

Good Day Everyone,

WOW, what a difference a week makes? I am, to say the least very happy. I have now OFFICIALLY lost 150 lbs. Will I be able to keep it off? I will sure as heck try to!!!! I did really well this week as I have been more observant of intake (more protein, less carbs) and moved exercise from the gym to outside. I ran 2 1/2 miles on Tuesday, 2 1/2 on Thursday and 3 on Friday. Then, on Saturday I oversaw the playing of a 500 player Jr. Bball tourney that included a lot of running around and physical exertion, so sure that helped. Add in daily water of 64 oz and quite a bit of movement in the scale.

In any case, I wanted to take this opportunity to say how appreciative I am to ALL of the folks who post here. I use a variety of supports like a facebook page that Mike P had established, support groups through Tufts Hospital, and other sources. But in all honesty I get so much information, advice, and INSPIRATION from this source!!

Have a great week....

Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill Mac

Hello everyone! Thanks for the responses on my other post!
Been busy getting ready for tomorrow but jumped on the scale a little while ago and looks like I'll be around 394 on surgery day so I've got a ways to go but from seeing this board I know I can do it!
Thanks for all your support and I'll check in when I get home!!
See ya,
Stoney

228.2 Last Week
228.2 This Week!!

Numbers jumped all over the place this week, as high as 230.x, and a 228.0 at the Doctors office on Thursday in street clothes!!

Just a flat week, it happens, drinking my EAS choclate breakfast of 17g protein, hoping that by hitting my protein numbers this week plus exercise helps me to knock down the weight!

Was a really good week of exercise too, 3 days at the gym, 1.7-1.8 miles per day on the treadmill, plus I got the bicycle out for the first time and did a mile or so around the neighborhood.

Worked on a buddies motorcycle yesterday, able to get down on the floor and back up easily, sure is easier with 127 less pounds!!

I was travelling Tuesday thru Sunday and ate a bit too much but did walk quite a bit.  Down 2.5 pounds this week to 231.  I'm on track to be better than 50% EBW loss by my three month check up so I guess it's OK.

Have a great week,
Roger
