adhesions after WLS.
VSG on 02/05/14
Hi: Guy's
I was reading about adhesion's that can happen after sleeve or by-pass surgery.
Have any of you heard of adhesion's in the new stomach or pouch ?
If the size of the sleeve is the size of a number #2 pencil, I can see how this could happen, but I'm not sure.
This is a new concern for me, being that I have not had surgery yet.
PS: Really need help with this one, thanks.

I believe (don't quote me on this) that the adhesions occur more with the RNY. It is called a stricture. About 6-8% of RNY patients get them and have to go in to a Gastroenterologist for an endoscope (balloon to open up the stricture). I haven't heard of issues with the sleeve in this area...But there could be...
