Well I believe at 400 am this morning I turned the corner in gas pain.  I woke up at 3 am with a rumbling after several lousy tasting and smelling burbs I felt rumbling going the other way and my stomach felt like the air was let out.  At least some of it , it was by far the most beautiful fart I ever had and I am most greatful for it.

Oh what a relief it is!!  I saw your other post and was going to suggest to try and walk a bit to see if you can get that gas moving but it sounds like it made it out!! Phew!

With any laproscopic procedure you can have a lot of gas outside of the bowel trapped in the abdominal cavity.  It takes a while to resorb either into the bloodstream to be breathed out thru the lungs or into the bowel itself to be passed as a fart.  Gas trapped up under the diaphragm can give you chest or shoulder pain too.  The fix for all of this is to walk and rest, as previously mentioned.  I point this out only to say that not all the gas is immediately available for farting.  It gets a lot better pretty soon, I promise.

Best wishes,
Roger

Being s grown man nearly reduced to tears over gas pain is a tough thing to accept but pain at least constant pain has subdsided and I can at least carry on a conversation without ripping someones head off.

Hi: Davo
Congrats on your surgery. Have you tried letting the kids pull you finger, that can help get the farts out. LOL  Feel better my friend.
