how do you smell?
Cologne.
Most guys kind of are hit or miss here. But it really matters.
People (and esp the female gender) judge you on their sense of smell.
I'm just wondering what the men around here wear?
How did you choose that and how long have you been wearing that? ( citrus/fruity vs musky smell)
Do you even think about your smell ?
Guess what? The guy survey says that they don't care and the female surveys say that they care A LOT!
So dudes.......(other than your breath), what do people smell when you step up close?

Depending on what I ate previously My most popular smell would be Last Nights Beans!
Second to that would be my Pit wax.
After that would be the amonia smell of my sweat because I probably just finished at the gym or running.

Baby powder...The blue one (generic), with corn starch and lavender. I'm working more for a covering of the bad smells rather than the overpowering of the good smells. Many of us dislike when someone walks into a room with a strong cologne or perfume. I will put on a different cologne sometimes, but I try to put on a very very small amount to not overpower people. Some that I use and have collected over the years are; Old Spice, Stetson, Chaps, English Leather, Brut Deodorant...Just me.
I used to not wear anything (I mean cologne, smartass) probably as a way to not be noticed as much. This sort of leads backs to Tim's thread from the other day about perceptions of heavy people. I never wanted to be "the fat guy who (fill in the blank, in this case smells like cologne)" . Cologne is another thing that has changed since my WLS, I am using Calvin Klein Intense Euphoria now. It's a deep, sort of musky sweet cologne. Very unlike anything I would have ever tried to wear before. I am, however, thinking of trying something lighter and maybe more citrus based for the summer months. (I've thought way too much about this....)

Ken- I agree, you have thought way too much about this:-)
I've always been just a pit stick guy. Old spice usually works just fine. I do like to put on a bit of Polo when I get a date night with my wife though. She says it reminds her of when we met in High School:-) Hey, I gotta take what I can get, right? heehheehee

Hi I'm Yvonne.
I hope you don't mind me posting here as I'm not 'male'...I was kind of checking out the different groups and here goes...
I don't like many colognes, certainly not ones that you can smell three feet away. I like a clean, fresh smell up close.
Like, the smell of clothes washed in sunlight (cue the violins ha ha ) or the smell of a guys skin after using lever 2000 soap.
I even like mild aftershave or the smell of shaving cream because to me it means personal grooming that I don't do. I mean like shaving the face, taking care of yourself as a man.
For me a guy doesn't have to spend money on expensive cologne, just be clean and well groomed.
