Sunday Morning Weigh In - Daylight Savings Time Edition
Good Morning Guys,
Well I finally choked down the piece of meat that I had stuck earlier this week. Thank goodness for Papaya pills. I have mentioned before that I have a lung condition that keeps me from standing or walking for more than few minutes. Well last Sunday after not losing what I had hoped for, I decided I could walk on a tread mill, as it has handle bars to hold me up. I started with just 5 minutes at 2 mph ( don’t laugh ) and added 1 minute every day. So yesterday I was up to 10 minutes and feeling stronger every day. I love the weight loss, but this was very exciting for me. I may be able to take a walk with my family again someday.
The good news is that I was down 5 lbs. this week and hoping that will continue.
Everyone have a great week.

WAY TO GO!!!! No one here is going to give you flack for starting small on the treadmill. We all have our moments of weakness and having to start small and work our way up. The important part is that you aren't just sitting there. You are working your way up... or down as it were (on the scale)!
Keep it up!!!
Keep it up!!!
Hi All,
Nice to see everyone's updates. Here are my numbers:
Highest: 346 July 2010
Surgery Date (12/27/10): 326
Last Week: 199
Today: 198
Difference: -1
Holding steady a couple pounds above or below the Mendoza Line of 200. Pretty happy as it was a VERY DIFFICULT week. My Mom had been ill for some time and was moved to a Hospice Facility on Monday. She ended up passing away on Friday. Very tough for my brother and sisters. The amazing thing is that in the past this would have led me to a complete gorging of food. Instead, I stayed with my program and instead focused on my exercise to help relieve some of the stress. Again, I am thankful that I did the WLS surgery as I know it has been a blessing to me and my family.
Best,
Bill Mac

Again Bill, sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. My heart goes out to you and your family. Great job with keeping things together this past week and I am right there with you believing that WLS has been a blessing to us and our families!! Hope you have a good week and let me know if you need anything!

Due to techinical difficulties I will attribute to the heavy rain last night my ISP ain't happening at home. Had to get to work to answer, or post on OH, since can not do from either phone.
Weather and road trips have messed up my walking the past couple of days. Have to bust out and get a stroll in tomorrow before I go to work.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
My sympathy to Tim and Bill at this sad time.
I missed last Sunday but was only down a pound from 2/26 at 240.5 from 241.5.
Got moving more and snacking less and am down to 237.5 this morning. I'm doing well at meal times with protein first and a reasonable number of calories but have had a hard time the last few weeks with avoiding grazing in the evenings. Way more head than stomach hunger, old habits are hard to break.
It is good to be back on DST with some daylight left after work.
Y'all have a great week.
