166.4: Total Weight Loss

A 5lb loss this week was SHOCKING!  I did kick a$$ at the gym this week, and worked hard.  But with friday being my Grandmothers 80th birthday, and yesterday being the party that I arranged for her (out of town), I wasn't able to keep my normal routine.  However, I am very pleased with this weeks readout on the scale.  The wife and I left town early Friday and got back around 1:30 this afternoon.  That was when I weighed in, not first thing this morning so I was praying for a hold, not gain, this week.  Imagine my shock when a 5lb loss showed instead.  (That is with breakfast and a snack in me already today, as well as half of my water)

Other than that, nothing spectacular to report.  Had a great time with family.  Was able to spend some time with several family members I haven't seen in a long time.  Several I haven't seen since before my presurgery diet.  They were all very complimentary of my progress.

Have a great week everyone.

Love the thread today!! Especially the fact that whether we have done well or veered off the path, we are accountable here!!

Like the saying goes, this is a Marathon, not a Sprint!!!

Good Sunday everyone,

I have been experiencing lower back pain and I wonder if it's from my posture and losing some weight.

Down 2.5 for the week. I was a little disappointed it wasn't the usually 5 lbs but I have to remember the journey philosophy.

Have a good week Guys

I started getting a knot in the square of my back about 2 months out and blamed it on posture and a change in my gait. I have to remember to keep my shoulders back when walking or I will feel it. And then there's the tailbone....

I'm not sure the tailbone ever gets better. For me, it's between that and the hip that hurts every night when I sleep on it. I guess I just got used to all that padding I carried around.

Still on my even keel of 2lbs a week.  Feeling better everydau and looking forward to spring and summer exercise.  The great outdoors is so much more fun than exercising indoors.  Only 25 lbs to goal, but I may revise that once I see how I feel.  That number may still be a bit high.

Not much else going on!!

Have a great week!

I really haven't loss much more weight within the last few months, i've been really watching what I eat and have a Nutrition appointment in 2 weeks to make sure i'm doing everything correctly, i honestly think i'm at the point of not losing any more weight but i'm losing inches, I  33 waist LEVI jean actually are very loose on me.  I feel better and my diabetes is very well controlled and is considered normal, so i'm half way content with it all until I meet with the nutritionist.

Ok, so what changed?  I suspect it was a temp slowdown anyway, but the group mtg they emphasized hitting your protein goals again, so I am back to 2 shakes a day (30g each) and then "regular" food with good protein in them.  Revved the WL engine and wahlah!

Hit a MAJOR goal for me this weekend... tried on and fit into size 38 pants!?!?!  That was for me a huge win, I always thought size 38 was for "normal" people and I am finally joining them.

Ended up buying a pair of 38 cargo pants, got a couple more on ebay (used) on the way!!  (Good CHEAP clothing btw folks, much easier to find YOUR size than the goodwill!!)

Part 2 of that... did you know that a "Large" pants is size 36-38?  So I tried on and bought  size "L" shorts and boxer briefs as well.  Not even "extra" large anymore.....WOW....

Hitting the gym tonight with my wife and her cousins, the early morning workouts were just not happening so we are going immediately after I get home and see if we can get that into our routine.

As an aside... worked on the motorcycles yesterday for about 3.5 hours fiddling about with various things.  Getting up and down off the ground without even thinking about it...NOT sore as heck today....amazing...
