Sunday Morning Weigh In
Nice to see everyone today. Here are the numbers:
High 346
Surgery 326 (12/27/10)
Last Week 199
Today 200
Change +1
OK w/ the slight increase. I had a good week overall. Been focusing on the following:
Daily intake of MINIMUM of 64 oz water
Calorie Intake 1500-1800; Protein 80 g or more
Exercise.
Overall, did good w/ the water and eating this week. Exercise good as well. Up to week 8 on the c25K running program. Three days I ran for 28 minutes STRAIGHT!!! I know back when I was at my highest that would not have been possible. As my running goes along am planning to enter a 5K race in the Spring.
Hope everyone has a great week!!
Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill Mac

I was on the road again this week attending our annual company meeting. Lots of good, rich food and not a lot of time for my workout routine which accounts for my 4 lbs gain. But, I’m still fluctuating within my 5 lbs range so I’m not concerned yet. I suspect the extra weight will drop off this week since I’m back home and able to stick to my normal eating routine.
I’ve mentioned before that several co-workers had RNY surgery within a few months of each other. We’ve now been reassigned to new projects throughout the country and it was great to see these RNYers again and compare progress.
All of us have met and are maintaining our goal weight. During one of the presentations this week they showed a before and after picture of one of the RNYers. They acknowledged the combined weight loss of all of us (595 lbs by 4 people) and feeling that kind of support from co-workers was really great. Got lots of complements and answered several questions about WLS and the insurance process.
FYI, my company provides 90-10 health coverage for the entire family at no cost to the employee. And our yearly deductable is only $250 for an individual and $500 per family. The HR person at the company meeting actually said that we’ve got the “Cadillac" of insurance coverage and encouraged people to use the insurance benefit to get and stay healthy. She used the RNYers as an example of getting healthy.

OK so down 3 pounds, but confession time....
If you haven't noticed, I haven't done the weigh in for two weeks. I had slipped a little on the diet and exercise side and was ashamed to take advantage of the accountability here. (please feel free to kick my butt here)
i went up 3 pounds and was so pissed at myself that I just couldn't face the music here.
I was wrong, and it won't happen again. Good or bad I will post a Sunday weigh in from now on. (hehe... except the 18th when I will be in California riding roller coasters for three days - a 8 year over due fart)
So back on the diet as given by my doc, exercising daily, and losing again.Today's down 3 is actually down 6 for the week.
Three more pounds for the century mark!
Have a great week losers.
Welcome back to the wagon. Stick with it. Yes it is hard to stick with it all day everyday, but seeing the loss of everyone else every week and knowing you have to post a "+" is what keeps you on track easier. Don't worry, we won't judge you, just encourage you.
Have a great trip to Ca!
