Oh man, I am so close to two big milestones...  The 200 lb total loss mark and that ever elusive under 300 lb mark.  I am re-evaluating my exercise routine a bit this week and adding some more strength training to my running to see how that goes.  I have been pretty good with my diet although I do find myself snacking from time to time in the evenings.  Damn you potato chips!!  I wish I had never discovered that I could eat them again.  They seem to be calling to me as I pass by them.  I am once again looking to just keep them out of my site.  As long as I don't know they are in the house (bad) or even worse see them on the counter when I get home from work (worse) then I'm usually pretty good.  I have been including more and more fruit into my diet which is better in so many ways!!

I ran 3.5 miles on Monday and as soon as I started my back started to ache and figured to press on through because it was happening because I hadn't run in over a week.  Lesson learned to listen to my body and stop next time I feel pain.  I was in severe pain by the end of day Monday and had to go to the chiropractor on Tuesday morning for an adjustment and some ultrasound.  Well that helped and I was feeling great again by Thursday.  I continued to do my 1.5 mile walk Wednesday and Friday but didn't get to the gym.

Other than that I am feeling good and looking forward to Spring.  I've officially got the fever and looking forward to seeing whay my beloved Red Sox will do this year now that the "old world series winning guys" Varitek and Wakefield have retired.  Boy Ryan Lavarnway (Catcher) looks phenomenal and we saw him in three Pawtucket Red Sox games last year and he hit a homerun in each game.  Great to see him in spring training.  We'll see!!  Go Sox!

Until next Sunday...  Hope everyone has a great week!

Not a bad week for me. Although I haVe to admit that Sundays are always the heaviest mornin of my week. It seems like we always do something Saturday night that involves food in some fashion. Beyond that, I tend to eat later on Saturdays, so it sort of throws the digestion off track. Did that sound like an excuse? I guess it may be since I did the Texas Roadhouse (you know peanuts on the floor and homemade dinner rolls) for a later dinner last night. I would have probably been ok, but the 45 minute wait with a bag of peanuts kind of did me in. At least I had a lot of protein.

The weather is changing in Houston and we're staying light a bit later, so I'll be getting the bike out for after work riding. That should help in a lot of ways.

Have a great week, guys.

I am right there with you on Sundays being my heaviest day of the week.  We are always doing something on Saturdays.  I try to be good but even so that extra sodium with restaurant food or an occasional adult beverage seems to throw the number off a bit but oh well that's life.   I'm also excited about the days getting longer and no longer getting home in the dark.  This coming Sunday 3/11/12 is daylight savings time so we will be getting an extra hour of daylight as well.  Woo hoo!!

4 lbs. down this week- Hooo-aaah!  Mike,  I feel your excitement about the milestones. 7 lbs. away from my personal goal seems unreal to me. I am anticipating this more than the century mark.  I know it will take a little more time but I am confident I will get there. I chose my personal goal randomly at my initial consult. It represented being on the upper end of a normal body mass index.

I have been introducing a small amount of carbs into my diet recently. Not bread or pasta but I bought some Kaschi Go lean Crunch cereal and have a cup occasionally for an evening snack. I throw some unsalted almonds in there some times. I also bought some whole wheat crackers called Ak-Mak. They're really thin and I spread a tblspoon of peanut butter on them and sprinkle with aforementioned almonds. All the other crap the rest of the family eats is still in the "carb cabinet" but that's the stuff I reach for when I get that craving for something "evil". LOL

That is all for this week- Mike , did you see the Sox /BU score? 25-0. WTF! I am feeling the usual spring excitement spewing from Fort Meyers.

Wow, 4 more pounds.  You are a machine!!  Great job and good luck on getting to that goal.  It's crazy!!

Oh yeah, I'm excited to see what Bobby Valentine can do.  Poor Northeastern University getting roughed up 25-0 hurts though but at least the bats were cranking for the sox.   Let the fun begin!!

The only thing coming out of the Rangers training camp is Yu Darvish.  I hope he is worth the money.  The local talking heads have even done stories on the Japanese media following him around!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Hope he is not as disappointing as Daisuke Matsuzaka has been.  I remember the hoardes of Japanese media following him around when he first came to Boston.  OK but hasn't really lived up to all the hype.

 Hi Fellas,

Happy Sunday to you all. I had an up and down week, first the down:

My stats:

High weight: 296
Weight at initial consult 1-19-2012: 269
Last week: 246
This week: 246
Total weight lost: 23

Flat line this week... Fell off the wagon, I was not even on the same road as the wagon a couple times! Lunch with a friend/ co-worker and a Friday night date and movie with my family did me in.

The up was that I got my labs back from my visit with my PCP, total cholesterol fell from 205 to 177. My blood sugar which was borderline is now normal. And, I got tired of my shorts and pants constantly dragging so I made my first clothes shopping trip. XL to L on the drawers and the belt is 4 inches shorter than my old one. Nothing like a couple small FARTs to salvage my week!

I also joined a gym and went for the first time this morning, family date night will be held there from now on!

Have a great week and keep up the good work you losers!
