Feeling a bit under the weather today with a sore throat.  I have been having bouts of off and on lightheadedness this past week which has had the effect of keeping me out of the gym for most of the week. I only ran one day but still managed to do my 1 1/2 mile walk each day (M-F).  I don't want to make any excuses but I think its just part of the flu/illnesses that has been going around and hopefully it will pass soon.  If it continues much longer I'm going to go see my PCP.

The scales were up a couple pounds this week and I can only imagine that its because of my change in routine, not eating as well as I should be and just generally a blah week.  Back to the basics this upcoming week.

Even though I haven't been feeling 100% I still coached my daughter's two basketball teams this week and attended both skills and pitching clinics with them.  Pitching clinic is actually a quite a bit of exercise as I am catching for my daughter and moving for the entire hour.  Good stuff.  Looking forward to a few days away this upcoming long weekend to visit friends in Binghamton, New York who I haven't seen since starting this journey.  Should be a shock for them to see me at 200 lbs lighter!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, hit my 1 year anniversary on Tuesday.   Where does the time go.  It has been a wld and crazy ride what I've accomplished and can do know is absolutely amazing.  On to bigger and better things.

Hope everyone has a Great Week!

 Morning everybody...

High weight: 296
Weight at initial consult 1-19-2012: 269
Last week: 257
This week: 255

Modest loss this week for a total of 14 so far. I've completed all of my preop stuff and need to check in with my surgeon's assistant Monday to make sure the insurance approval process has been started. I bought a scale to make sure my "eyeball" portions aren't sabotaging me. I also started using an Android app. from Myfitnesspal to track my daily calories and exercise. Anyone else track their progress this way?  Monday when I had the ultrasound the tech spent lots of time taking picts of my gallbladder and asked if I had pain there or high cholesterol... might my gallbladder leave me during the surgery I wonder? NUT says I am on the right track right now diet wise... now it is a waiting game.

Keep up the good work you losers!

Temporary setback Mike... look at how far you have come!
Odd that I can't reply below your post, sorry for the deletes...

Well, a flatline this week, I expected it. I flirted with 180 so it's still on a downward movement- just not this morning. The gym and beach walk were present this week so I feel pretty good about that. At least I'm not Whitney Houston..........

I'm getting down right "wormy" looking!

Going back to 4 on - 4 off, 12 hour shifts at work has altered my eating and exercising big time!  Weather permitting I can walk before going to work and I'm not sitting around the house snacking in the evenings.  Keep some protein bars in the file cabinet to snack on or will get a pack of peanut butter crackers from the store.

Little reminder Gents -

Don't forget Tuesday is VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
