a small FART...

So, to preface this FART, I live on Cape Cod, MA- where there is a beach within a 5 minute drive in either direction of my house.(Google map it, you'll see) Pre-op and post-op (weather permitting) I enjoy walking my dog on said beaches for a few miles when I can. When I can't, I've been jogging and walking interval style on the treadmill at my gym.

So today was one of those days where it was pushing 50 degrees and I got home from work in time for a beach stroll. Walking on the sand flats at low tide affords me an ample wide open course for some scenic cardio. (The dog chases birds endlessly). So I'm walking and I get this sudden urge to start sprinting like I do at the gym. No problem. So I continued the walk at 100 yard jogging intervals. This activity was unthinkable this time last year. And I did it effortlessly.

So the moral of this story is directed at you new guys who are wondering what life will be like post-op. I am only 7 months out and I have energy and stamina and confidence coming out my ass! And I mean that in a good way. The more I excercise and work out the more I want to. It feels great and I see results. What a life changer this journey has afforded me so far. And I'm just gettin' started!  Just sayin'....

Thanks Tim,   Any and all motivational stories keeps us going.

Went to my family doctor today, and after just 2 weeks post-op he is cutting almost all my meds by 1/2.

That truly is an amazing FART!  I can smell it all the way up here in Taunton!!  What a feeling and you are not kidding at the new found energy levels.  You should have seen the look on my girl's faces when I started running across the parking lot to our car after basketball this past Saturday and the oldest (9 1/2) had all she could to keep up with me and the youngest (7 1/2) was begging me to stop because I was going too fast!!  This time last year I had all I could do to crawl to my car!!  Amazing year!!

I believe it will take what y'all call a "Nor'eastern" to dissipate the stench of your flatulence.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
