Lap Band on 01/19/12
Hey fellas, I'm new here. I was just introduced to the mens forum.
So it's the night before my surgery. I am getting a lap-band. Pretty nervous. I have to be at the hospital at 5am! Yikes!
You guys have any suggestions before I head out.

Thanks,

AR

You should go to a strip bar until 4:45

The nerves are normal. It will be over before you know it.
Check in when the drugs wear off!

 Well said.

The night before I couldn't sleep a wink.  Woke up my wife at about 2-4 am...Asked her if I was doing the right thing?  She said..."Look, you've looked at this from all sides, reseached it to death, prayed about it...Now get some sleep!"  I didn't sleep at all.  So often the cleaning out of the system the night before is the biggest issue.  By the way, you won't get much sleep in the hospital...They take your vitals at all the ungodly hours...
Boring stuff for the first few weeks...Allow the healing process to take place.  Also check out the Lap Band Forum here at OH...A wealth of knowledge there.  Enjoy the ride...

By now, you're through surgery, and hopefully doing well. Good luck and remember if you have any questions, the is always a smart ass on the men's forum to help.

Lap Band on 01/19/12

Hey everybody thanks for all the insight. I sure gave me more peace of mind. So I'm back at home and just letting my body heal. We got snowed in last night so I'm trying to see how clear the streets are so I can get some more walking.  So thanks everyone.

See ya soon!
