Just wanted to kick off the Sunday Morning Weigh In with a shout out to the Patriots. Wow, what a game last night. And, for the first time all season our defense looked amazing!! Yeah baby!!
Had a good week. The scale is heading in the right direction again. I ran 14 miles last week and walked another 6 or so miles. Also was able to do some circuit training on one day. As soon as I'm done here I'm going to head out for a 3 mile run. Still enjoying the running and it feels great!!
Had a FART the other day when I attended my daughter's Good Citizenship Award (Student of the Month) ceremony at her elementary school. They held it in the cafeteria and they had laid it out so the parents sit with the kids by teacher at the mini lunch tables. Well in the past I've always just stood on the side or when an occasional folding chair was available used that but this time I hunkered over to the mini table and mini chair and actually fit. I looked at the seat and in my mind said that there was no way I was going to fit but sat down and there was plenty of room. It was an amazing feeling!
That's about it for now. Hope everyone has a great week!

Yeah, what an awesome game last night for Pats fans, those guys look unstoppable!
OK -I'm very happy with my stats this week- between workouts and calorie intake and food choices things are still rolling in the right direction- 17 pounds from my personal goal weight sounds unreal to me, I'm still kinda feel like I'm gonna wake up from some dream I've been having for the last year. It's becoming apparent that I have about 5 or so pounds of skin accummulating on my waistline otherwise everything wlse is looking pretty lean these days.
I checked my blood sugar after a random thought this morning before breakfast. The meter read 84. It's still unbelievable that I don't have to deal with that co-morbidity anymore. I keep thinking about me being 65 and retiring and being in poor health because I didn't have the stones to do something about it when I had the chance. I guess I re-wrote that chapter!
I'm feeling like I've firmly established a change in my lifestyle pattern so far and I'm hoping it will give me the strength to combat old habits rearing their ugly heads. The restriction and fear of dumping have alot to do with it, and I don't anticipate a transfer addiction to booze because the thought of drinking to the point of ****faced is just not enticing to me anymore. I think I have made my peace with the ****faced stuff although I do occasionally have a 1 oz. social drink. The waitresses in the local restaurants I frequent already know the drill- a glass of water up front, no bread, no potatoes, no pasta, no fried and a substitute for any side dish that looks skeptical and usually a to go box ready and waiting.
Well, I'm off to paint the newly remodeled bathroom and can't wait for the plumbing next week so I can take a dump without having to deal with a flight of stairs. Or fight with the three women in my house for a spot on the throne! so to speak......
Good luck this week guys, I read them all on here. Thanks for listening.

Another decent loss this week. It feels good to be back on track after a small detour around Christmas. I had my 3 month follow up with my surgeon and he is happy with my progress thus far. My labs are "awesome", his actual word. The only thing that is not in the normal range is my good cholesterol, which is low. He thinks it is related to my body adjusting and wants to see if it corrects itself in my 6 month labs before we change anything.
I had a good exercise week as well. I did 3 good walks this week, including 6.5 miles one day. Thank goodness for the mall since it has finally become winter here in central new york.

Michael, good windage amongst the childrens!
My last hope for the playoffs are the Texans. If they lose....there is always next season!

I think I'm in my first kinda stall since surgery. Only one pound per week the last two weeks. I'm going to have to up my excercise to combat this. I think a lot of the problem is still the fact that I really can't eat any good protein, so I find myself eating more cashews and nut type snacks.
I did manage to fit into a pair of size 40 Levi 501's which took me back 25 years!! They are still just a bit tight, so I'll stick to the 42's for now. All in all, things are great and I just want to not lose my mental momentum.
It's great seeing the new faces on here and I wanted to say welcome to all of you!! Have a great week and I'll catch ya on the loser's bench (with my Broncos) next week.
