Reddit's funny... it's hard to predict whether they'll help or attack any given person.

I was kinda suprised to see that this 700-800 pound guy is going for the lap band.... I thought (perhaps incorrectly) that the lap band isn't traditionally used for that weight class?

 He is in a tough spot, on disability and no insurance...  Did not sound like he had many options other than his plan of diet and Adderal...

Wow, so I could be totally wrong, but I thought lapband surgery cost more than VSG or RNY because of the cost of the lapband appliance?  Not sure.  I just know my surgeon quoted me a higher surgical price for a lapband than a VSG because of the appliance cost.

Also, I forget the cost of a DS.
