1000-1200 Calories Long Term?

Man, if I could get the time off of work I would love to. It has always been a dream of mine. I hike on a part of the AT in The White Mountains (NH) and love, love love it. That was at heavier weights so can't wait to take on more and longer hikes in the spring. Good Luck on your adventure. Make sure you let us all know how it goes!!

A few thoughts in no special order...Some of these questions might be good on the Exercise and Fitness Forum...A lot of endurance people there. Men have a larger muscle structure...That is why we lose the weight quicker...And burn more energy (calories).
Other ideas for the trail (things I've picked up over the years); raisins, roasted soy nuts, banana chips (no suger added if you can find them), and freeze dried fruit...berries...Very light.
Was thinking back to the Men's Forum years ago. We had a guy here who (if memory serves me correct) was just a few months post op from RNY. He was headed to the south pole for a year commitment. He did OK (good even)...But talk about burning energy!
