Sorry I'm late guys. I've been fighting what I think is low blood pressure, perhaps caused by my switch from water to coffee over the last several weeks. Looking back, my caffeine fluid intake has far overwhelmed my non-caffeine intake. And I think I'm feeling the result.
So, I'm trying to hydrate and staying pretty still in bed to avoid the dizziness. Tomorrow I'll see if the doc can see me. Today, the dizziness didn't occur immediately upon waking, but rather when I got up from the chair. The in hit big time in the shower along with the shakes. No fever, but shaking like it was massively high. I am also bothered by hearing my heartbeat vibrating in my ears. It's like being in a car next to the dude with the big speakers.
Happy new year to all. It's been a great one!

I’m still fluctuating within my goal range and I’m very happy with that.
I’ve noticed for a while that I’d fall asleep shortly after having dinner. But, I started getting very worried when I slept through 1 hour of a movie in the theater. I posted a note in this forum and Brian responded with the suggestion that I could be having an issue with the carbs I’ve started adding during my “maintenance" mode.
Brian’s post included an excellent explanation of “late dumping" which I firmly believe was the problem. I’d really recommend reading his post for a wealth of info on dumping.
I’ve cut back on the carbs and gone back to my post-op routine. That has really helped with feeling tired and falling asleep.
Wishing everyone a wonderful and successful new year.

Happy new year guys! and congrats on the accomplishments.
Back from the vacation and had a great time.
Did some things that I wouldn't have done 83 pounds ago, and share the thanksgiving that you all have mentioned above.
It's amazing to be doing things that were out of reach just a few short months ago.
little thinks like crossing my legs to tie my shoes
working my way back through the old clothes in my closet,
batting cages
sat in the middle of the auditorium for the band concert rather than stand in the back
dove hunting on new years eve,
and yesterday took my ten year old to his first NFL game
(cards 23 sea hawks 20 in overtime!)
I can't agree more guys, this is the first year in a long time that I am excited to see what I can do with it.
One last thing - I'm reminded to give thanks to God for the wisdom and courage to get this surgery, and the strength to follow the diet and exercise instructions when my last 20 years has been the exact opposite.

Yes, what a New Year it is going to be. So many accomplishments for all of us this past year and so many cool new things that we will accomplish in the next 12 months!! I thank everyone here on this forum for their support and brotherhood!! This is a great place to learn and a great place to just share accomplishments.
One great Fart for the week- I finally got to go ride inner tubes at a place called Adventure Ridge. It has these huge tubing runs that are built into the ski mountain. It was amazing. I would have never been able to do this without losing the weight. It really felt great to go down that mountain 50mph screaming with my kids and my wife!!
And thru all the celebrating of the Holidays, the members of this men's forum did pretty darn good! Keep up the good work guys! Catch ya next week.
