Merry Christmas and Good Sunday Morning Gents!  for those of you who were up last night getting gifts out from hiding places, putting bicycles together, putting backboards together or setting up new computers, etc in anticipation of this morning.

Because of learning the truth on Santa and my Dad wanting to sleep late on Christmas morning is how we got to doing Christmas on Christmas Eve. We had a good Christmas last night at my Mother's.  Can't complain on gift giving either way.  I still need some black long sleeve t-shirts though but Baby Nurse really loved her Shared Heart diamond earrings.

Did good on the food.  Kept the portions small on the fruit salad, homemade mac n' cheese, the obligatory green bean casserole, turkey and ham.   Still had room for a nice slice of SF pecan pie.  Needless to say have a weeks worth of left overs in the fridge!

So especially for Michael and all those of you who have little ones at home enjoy this morning because you know your little ones will!  To those whose kiddos are older - enjoy them too!

Merry Christmas!  Happy Hanuka and Happy Kwanzaa!

It's been a great week!! Wrapped up work for the upcoming 9 days of vacation time and wrapped the final gifts for the kids and wife last night. Christmas was a blast this morning and the kids were just wonderful. Looks like we need to go shoot the little guy's new gun that Santa brought, which will be a lotta fun!  I ordered my wife some new scrubs for her to wear at work, but they never came.  I had to give her an IOU on those!! Other than that, everything went off without a hitch.

Kept to my standard 2lb loss and I'm very satisfied with that. Been dong well staying away from the Holiday foods and watching my portions. I have had a few of those darn French Vanilla Cappucinos though. I need to stop that.

May you all have a blessed day and get time to spend with family!!

Down 1 lb this week and I'll take it. Got to the gym 3 times this week and it's getting easier to do the routines and gradually upping the weights. I'm feeling pretty damn good these days. I survived Christmas eve and the 100 lbs. of food and goodies I was surrounded with. Some gourmet cheese, baked scallops with a little panko breading last night and a piece of quiche for breakfast this morning with the first whole orange I have eaten in a long while. Now I'm just going to lay low today and decompress.

Hope everyone had a good holiday and look forward to checking in next week.Tim T.

I’m still within my comfort range despite the 2 lbs weight gain. The body seems to know where it wants to be.

Had a wonderful Christmas Eve when I went elk hunting with my brother-in-law (using snowmobiles). A year ago I could never have gone hunting. This year it was no big deal and actually had more energy and mobility than I thought was possible. And, for those that are wondering, the elk are still safe and sound. We saw plenty of deer, moose, and a couple cougars. But, the elk were nowhere to be found.

Happy holiday wishes to all the great guys here. You’ve helped me immensely on this weight loss journey.

Happy Holidays to everyone!!  Its been an event filled week.  Or should I say RICH FOOD full week and I still managed to drop a pound.  I did well at our company luncheon on Friday, the annual Bacchanalia celebration and Keno Extravaganze following at Barretts Ale House, Christmas Eve Open House and Christmas Prime Rib dinner without a problem.  I let my guard down at 6:30 on Christmas night and wammo!!  I mindfully ate throughout the last week and then in a moment of pure happiness had a small slice of the best damn pecan pie (not sugar free mind you) and a small piece of holiday cake (with frosting).  Finished the slice of pie and got half way through the cake and OH SH*T!!  My pouch rebelled.  What an awful feeling.  Just full of stuff that I couldn't get up or out anyway.  Just felt pain...  Needless to say, that was the end of Christmas for me.  I spent the next 30 minutes on the couch while my wife gathered the kids and their stuff for the 45 minute drive home that thankfully she drove!!  Once we arrived home, I immediately staggered to my bed and curled up into a fetal position.  Not exactly the ending to Christmas that I had planned.   Goes to show you that even when you think you know it all and after almost 11 months of doing this that you can send yourself into a rapid tailspin if you are not careful.  BIG LESSON LEARNED.  The pecan pie was good, but not worth that!!    I'll have to expirement with some sugar free recipes for next holiday season.

My exercise continues and I am still running Mon, Wed Friday for the full 5K distance.  Feels great and love the workout.  I was hoping to cross train a bit last week but only managed to get my 30 minute walk in each day at lunchtime.  We'll see what this week has in store for me as far as being able to do some strength training.

Hope everyone enjoys their last week of 2011.  What a wild year!!
