Hello all...Posted one message here about 3 months ago but have an update. Had an information meeting on Nov 28TH and signed consent to proceed with RNY surgery on the 30Th.
Have been very encouraged by all of your posts both good and bad, my wife and myself were amazed by the questions that were being asked at the original meeting, seems that we knew more about the procedure and the changes that will happen that everyone else there...thanks to all of you.
Enough blowing sunshine up your butts...lol I have my first meeting with a dietitian on Jan 11Th and have completed the initial blood work on Friday.
I will be a regular on here as I go down this new road of life. I will be having the procedure at ST Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton Ontario, and one of the regular members had the same procedure done there about 12-16 months ago. He lives in Cambridge On and I would like to contact him directly. Would anyone know who that might be?

Hi Sampson,
Not sure if I'm the "regular" on here that you are referring to. I don't post that often, but I do live in Cambridge and also had my surgery at St. Joseph's hospital in Hamilton and I'm ready and willing to answer any questions you may have.

Are you having your surgery on January 30th? wow what a Xmas present!!
I had my surgery 17 months ago.. I lost 150 pounds the first year and since then have dropped another 10 pounds.. and feel fantastic. I only wish I had done this sooner..
I've sent you a "friend invite" if you want to contact me directly.
Best of luck
John
