 This Week's Stats (lbs):
506.5: All time high 9/9/9 (WW start) - BMI = 63.3
492.4: Tufts Medical Center Program Start 9/20/10
462.5: Lap RNY Surgery day 2/7/11
326.6: Last Week 11/27/11

178.3: Total Weight Loss

A little blip up on the scales this week but that's ok because I also measured today and have lost another 8 inches throughout my body in the last 9 weeks.  I was in the gym 4 days this week and walked for 30 minutes each of the five workdays this week.  My big accomplishment this past week is that I finished the C25K.com program on Friday and am now able to run for 30 minutes straight.  I am not going to tell you that it was easy and I can remember struggling quite a bit in the beginning but soldiered through on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday over the past 9 weeks and didn't miss a workout.  What a feeling!  My ultimate goal is to run a 5K with a decent time in the spring so I am going to continue to train throughout the winter and work on improving my distance during the 30 minute run until I can ultimately run the 5K in 30 minutes or under which I now believe is possible.  Who'd have thunk it?

Saw my surgeon this past week for my 9 month followup and she said that I was exactly where she would want me to be at this point.  All of my lab work came back fine so all is good regarding the surgery which is what I expected it to be.

Well, that's about it this week.  I am going to get up and out early to put up some Christmas/Hanukkah inflatables and lights and see if I can get the heads lit up in my two Christmas Lawn Deer!!  It looks kind of funny now with the bodies lit up and the head is not.  My headless Christmas deer!!    Then watch the Pats take on the poor Colts!!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Holding pattern this week on the scale-  but noticing the new clothes getting looser.  Attended the 1st Christmas party of the season last night and maintained my composure at the bar and the goodie table. The nice weather allowed for some quality cardio walks on the beach this week. Got to the gym for a workout once and again before the Pats game at 1:00.  Xmas tree and yardwork in between. One more pound and I am contemplating a Kodak moment with my feet on the scale. Should happen sometime this week. FART>

Looks like this week was a flat weight loss week for many of us. I'm not complaining since I am maintaining pretty well. It seems that Sundays or Mondays are always my high weight of the week though. Perhaps because I tend to eat different foods on the weekends.

I'm staying active without the gym. I was really bored and feeling tied down to the gym. Moving more toward additional real life activity has been positive for me. A lot of walking, bike riding, stairs instead of elevators, etc.

My office holiday party is next Saturday. I bought a suit, the first suit in many years. 44 long....amazing to a lifetime "portly" even at 6-1 (that is telling for the size of the belly, huh?). As it turns out, I appear to clean up pretty nice..LOL

Have a good week guys.

Like this little downward trend I have going.  Means after three and half years I'm still getting a return, or loss, on my investment.

Had a non-scale WTH moment last night.  Was at one of the area drive through X-mas light parks with Baby Nurse and her four year old granddaughter.  Granddaughter in back seat totally enamored by the lights and displays.  Kid blew us away when she called Baby Nurse "grandma" then called me .... "grandpa"!  I guess out of the mouths of babes as the saying goes.  Never been called Daddy and now I'm referred to as "grandpa"!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

The first trip away from home since WLS and things went great. Another 2lbs down. Thanks for all the travel tips guys. I got to Houston and promptly went to Walmart for yogurt, protein powder, and a few other protein packed items. I blended shakes in my room and stayed away form all restaraunts for the three days I was there.

One funny thing I have to share.  When I was going thru security at the airport, they pulled me aside for a pat down. They said the reason was that my clothes were very loose and baggy!! That just cracked me up.  I have never been accused of having baggy clothes!! Needless to say, I wasn't packin' anything but a few extra pounds, and I was able to make my plane on time.

Have a great week all.

Bill, I hoe you told them that your loose clothes were just your hip-hop sense of urban fashion. Next time you're in Houston, let me know. I know all the local restaurants with yogurt, oatmeal and various other safe stuff. We can have a cup of soup or something.

Ken, I always have been a bit of a hip-hopper!!  I would have liked to meet up in Houston. I didn't even remember that your profile showed you from being there. I get there every couple years or more. I will look you up the next time. I always used to love going there because I gor to go to Fogo De Chow. That was the past though, only safe stuff now.

Still in initial melting mode.

I'm actually just dieting very strict, because I haven't even had my first fill yet (due for the 17th)
I'm finding creative ways to get my walking in, like during son's baseball practice.
Fighting a little head hunger yesterday, but got away with a sugar free jello and a walk.

Thanks for the accountability guys. I actually thought about "Sunday weigh - in" a few times this week........ "better be good!"
"Future's so bright, I gotta wear shades!"

Missing the weigh-in is worse than breaking the chain letter you get in the mail....
