1 year sugriversary
Yay, I made it to the one year mark of my surgery. I am so thankful and blessed to be free of diabetes and 125 lbs lighter. Although i'm at a plateau, i'm feeling better, more energetic and have a clean bill of health. I'm thankful for this men's forum, which keeps me in check, and allows me to get some insight on things.
Very happy for you and what you have accomplished. Ad, by the way, don't think you are necessarily at the end of your weight loss. I am at 18 months now and still losing albeit slower. I'm actually wondering if it will ever stop. LOL who would have ever guessed that would happen to me?

You mention a plateau which I assume is different than a stall. Cabin111 reposted from one of our more knowledgeable members back on 12-08-10. I have my copy, but I still don't know how to paste and copy (it's sometimes scary seeing how I am losing my mental accuity and unable to do things I had priviously learned--I pity my wife as we proceed along this journey),
Separately, I know that some authors do not consider a stall of less than 4-6 weeks as something to worry about. I've found that my body likes staying at come weights along the weight loss journey. For example, I've been hovering around 350 lbs for almost a year regardless of how I eat. Yeah, I do have to watch dairy, sweets, fats, and junk foods. I'm probably maintaining about 1,800 cal per day with little or no exercise. I expected my weight to go up this summer but it remained the same. That simple fact makes eating junk and improperly very tempting. But, then I realize that I can quickly increase my weight.
I'd advise that you check your weight about once a month and not worry if your weight hasn't changed more than about 5 lbs. Some people can't wait that long, so a weekly weight-in may be helpful. It really doesn't matter when you get weighted during the week if you want to put that day's weekly changes in the Sunday Weigh-in post.
