Okay, since I'm sitting around waiting for the weather to improve, and Mike is out of town,  I'll post first.

Nothing doing on the scale this week, and I'm not surprised because of the steep drop last week. For you new guys, (even though I'm only pushing 4 months out,) don't expect a steady, consistent weight drop every week . It might be more like walking down a flight of stairs with some steps wider and lower than others. At least that's my personal observation.

HAD to go clothes shopping this weekend. I took out the winter rubbermaid bucket of clothes for the semi-annual switch and guess what? Everything's going bye-bye. Went to Sears and fit snugly into size 34 Wrangler jeans. Big FART. Stunk up the fitting room. Bigtime. Sweatpants? Size Medium. Hoodie sweats? Pullover sweaters? Large. Not bad for being 3x to 4x last year.  And I'm not there yet, by any means.

My 52nd. birthday is on Halloween and I couldn't have asked for a better present.  Showing off my driver's license photo to the cashiers made me take note hat my license was due to expire tomorrow. I think it's time to update the photo.

See ya next weeek and good luck!!

Good week for me. Although I'm up a half pound from last week, that is probably due to a late and heavier than usual dinner last night. Went to Outback Steakhouse and enjoyed a small cut steak. It's nice to be ale to enjoy steak again after having avoided it for so long due to pouch issues with it. I am eating less fatty cuts now and far smaller portions, but it is working for me. I also had two glasses of wine and split a dessert. So, I should be glad the gain was only a half pound.

I seem to be handling maintenance pretty well. Weight is holding pretty steady, although actually still trending down a bit. I really don't want to get skinnier in some areas, but I sure wish the stomach skin, thigh skin and batwings were all gone. Sometimes I think I have 20 pounds of excess skin flapping in the wind.

Have a great week, guys!

Almost ten months out and the weight loss still continues, all be it at a much slower pace.  I need to take a better look in the coming weeks at my intake and exercise to see if there's a little room for improvement.

Had a rock star good time last night for adult Halloween,  Was able to buy a normal size costume and danced the night away. It's been a great run and I'm glad i decided to go ahead with surgery! No regrets here.

have a great week everyone

Hi Guys
Well I am ten days out of surgery. Still feeling really good with lots of energy and drive. My diabetic medicines are going really screwy because I have to continually adjust for them. I have let myself get serious low this week by taking my pills and then checking my blood. I know that is ass backwards. My wife gets pissed at me because I am lifting things (water bottles) and even ran a bit. I have my doctor's okay but she is just being cautious. She is likely correct but I preserve the guys' right to be stupid.
From one of my other posts this week - yes the equipment does work but it hurt like hell - so none of that for a couple weeks.
have a great week.

5 pound loss this week which was a pleasant surprise as I wasn't expecting anything. I haven't done much walking this week between working extra hours and dealing with a nasty head cold. I will be able to start more strenuous exercise next week, being a good boy and waiting per my doctors recommendation. I am planning on starting the Couch to 5K at that time.

Great job Corey.  Good luck with the C25K program.  I am in week 5 now.  Crazy that I am now running in 5 minute intervals...  Who'd have thunk it?

100.0: Total Weight Loss

WOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!  So as of this morning, it has been exactly 2 months since my surgery and when I got on the scale first thing this morning, I learned that I have lost exactly 100lbs since the beginning of my journey (pre-surgical weight loss diet).  I am so friggin' excited!  I have not been this weight in a decade or so!  I will have to start providing nose clips to all I encounter soon!!!!

Had to go to the Dr on Monday.  Been working out at the gym and started having pain that started in my lower back and shooting down my left leg.  Dr. told me to stop the workouts on my leg (such as the exercise bike) for 10 days.  Hoping it is just sciatica and not something worse.  Had back x-rays on Wednesday but haven't gotten the results yet.  So instead, I am not spending all my workout time on the upper body and my arms, shoulders, chest and upper back are SORE!  Took yesterday off from the gym.

Spent noon to 3 yesterday at a 1 yr olds birthday party, then shopped with my wife for her some new clothes until 7p.  Ate dinner and then off at 830p to a friends house for a Halloween party and got home at 3am.  Had a great time.  Not too tiring and was able to stick to plan on everything.  Drank my waater while everyone else drank "adult beverages".

LIFE IS GREAT!!!!

See ya losers!

Congrats on hitting the Century mark in weight loss.  Good Stuff.  I had that same exact pain that you describe and went to PT, had x-rays, etc...  The only thing that helped me were stretches.  Check out the video in this link:  www.losethebackpain.com/blog/2011/01/21/easy-sciatica-stretc hes-for-fast-leg-pain-relief/  Good Luck!
