Crazy weekend! Guests, kids sleepovers, furniture deliveries, construction, clothes shopping(a necessity) etc. I have an excercise program set up at the gym now and must schedule time to get there. Went on a nice, long beach walk yesterday with the wife and pooch. With the long weekend and banner weather, the Cape is bustling with people.
I'm not dissapointed with my weight loss in the past 2 weeks- I know it's normal sometimes. I am going to track my intake this week to see where I am in calorie-world. I am expecting a couple pound drop one of these days soon but the experience of buying new smaller clothes and all the positive compliments I have been receiving have been uplifting.

Good Job Tim. A pound in the right direction is always good!! I hear you about the weather and I'm sure the Cape was awesome this long weekend! Like a mid summer day. I ran into traffic on 495 on Friday night heading to the cape and was wondering what was going on and then realized that everyone had seen the long range forecast.
Anyway, have you heard when the next meeting is at Jordan? I can't remember if it was the 3rd or 4th Thursday of the month... I definitely want to plan on making it if I can!

307.8 to 304.8 this week, but I lost 1" in my ribs, belly, waist and hips (each) and folks really starting to notice the 46ish pounds since 8/1!!
Rough time on Friday, eggs apparently just are not agreeing with me in any form at this point! So backed off to Oatmeal for breakfast (7 grams of protein for a bowl)
Discovered that Extra Sharp Cheddar (made from 1% milk) is a nice 7 grams of protein and tasty! (Got to take the Softner though if cheese will be bigger part of my diet!)
Working my way through various items to see what my body likes and dislikes...
Was wondering how quickly others got to "serious" 4-6 times per week of exercising after surgery? I am still getting pretty tired and have not hit the treadmill yet (3 weeks out this Wed)
Hoping to start again this week, and that will accelerate the weight loss? 3 pounds is cool but was thinking the first few months it would drop faster?

Hey Sam, you are doing perfectly. A wise man on this board once put the 3 pounds into perspective. If you could lose 3 pounds a week then that would be 150 lbs in a year. 3 pounds is an amazing number and believe me you will have weeks with an even smaller number or numbers in the wrong direction. It's all good because if you are following the plan then your body is losing fat. There is a water weight variant that F's with our minds from time to time but the proof is in how clothes are fitting better (or falling off) and when you can actually fit comfortably in your car with steering wheel tilted down into a normal position. I didn't start seriously working out until close to 6 weeks. I was walking up to that point but didn't kick it into high gear until around that time. Good luck and keep the faith!!
