C25K - Training Begins...
Well fast forward 8 months after surgery and my training began today and here is the program that I am going to follow in the gym until I can get up to the point where I am running the full 5K on the treadmill: http://www.c25k.com/c25k_treadmill.html I did workout 1 in week 1 without a problem and can't believe that I ran!! Never imagined it but I did. When I hit the first minute of running I couldn't believe that I was running.

Let the training begin!!
There is an android app that I found in the market for $1.99. Once I get down in weight some more I plan on following this as well. The app lets you use your android phone to play music as you walk/run and gives you audio cues as to when to switch between the walking and jogging.

Love hearing about people getting out and doing something they nver believed possible! I am happy to state that I am a C25K Failure/Drop out so even if you can't stick with C25K You can still run a 5K and do them fairly quick!
Time and dedication is all you need stick with it and be amazed at what you can accomplish!
Also go to a specialty running store and get fitted for some shoes. Your body will thank you later!
